Just Bought An SSD

Just bought an SSD (Kingston HyperX 240gb) and did a fresh install of windows. from reading around i was ment to change my Bios to Achi before installing windows. so i changed to Achi and reformated / installed windows again, but before it loads windows up it goes through the drives and then onther another page and says no device found then the same again and then load windows fine. is this normal or somthing wrong?

From what you're describing it looks like your PC is loading the AHCI bios startup. I wouldn't take any notice of TBH as long as its loading windows. You may be able to disable it in the motherboard bios though.

tbh ive never done it before so i selected AHCI in every single option in bios, i guess i need to disable somthing but dont know which.

Looking at the manual all the board does is to let you turn the gigabyte logo screen to be turned off or on. Same with the AHCI, if you try to turn the AHCI startup screen off all the board will do is revert back to IDE mode. (page 51)
