WoodyAllenJesus cut by ITV

itv are well known for cutting stuff to ribbons. have you tried watching a film on there, even if its in the middle of the night it gets tweaked so as not to offend someones granny.

Perhaps its because it was on the Jonathan Ross show, you just know theres a bunch of sad people out there waiting for him to slip up again and phone up the complaints line like their boring lives depended on it.

I can quite believe this. I really Ross, always been a fan of him and his BBC show.

Minchin on the other hand. I think he's a freak of nature, seriously not funny and just generally weird. He can play the piano and write a song. Big deal! He's still weird and wears womans make up.

I agree. Nothing offensive about the video at all. People complaining are sad acts and need to get a grip!

What are you talking about you muddy funster? ;)
Although I am a bit surprised if it's Peter Finchem thats cut this after all his work with Chris Morris. (unless I'm thinking of someone else)

If you can't stand to have your beliefs mocked like this, then what do you really believe? If you have to insist that you don't hear criticism of your beliefs, then how strong is your faith? Why are you crying to earthly powers to protect your heavenly God? It's pathetic.

I like that, especially the bit in bold.

To be honest it's not funny enough to be that long, should have given it up after a few verses - probably wouldn't have been cut then.

Is their any confirmation from ITV that it was cut to avoid complaints or was it just because he didn't find it that funny?

According to their spokesman and Peter Fincham it was cut because it didn't fit in with the overall tone of the show......there were no complaints and they say that stuff end up on the editorial cutting floor all the time as they shoot more than they can air due to time constraints.

It appears that Tim Minchin has got in a tizzy because his skit was cut and the media have assumed it was cut to appease imaginary complainants.......

A big hoohaa about nowt quite frankly...

As a big Tim Minchin fan I have to say that wasn't his best work, and agree with those who say it was too long.

Minchin is on a high horse about this tbh. I wouldn't be surprise if he's actually happy it got cut so it has all the extra publicity.

He's composed a song, to be sung on a Christmas television show, that compares Jesus to Woody Allen, and is surprised it wasn't aired. In short, he's surprised that his provocative song has.. *drum roll* provoked.

Meanwhile, in other breaking news, it has been discovered that Bears DO defecate in the woods..
