*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

There's a Republic PVE guild on Killian Jarro called "Nice Hat" - small but steadily growing, we've got about a dozen members and looking for more :)

If you're a filthy Imp, look elsewhere :D

I've got a JK there, you on later for an invite m8?

Side note, massive Q on frostclaw already booooo!

You haven't been leveling crafting then, no way would you have that much and have equal level or higher craftable gear with your professions.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't have 117k left after buying my speeder. That is the amount I have acquired since 25.

I have indeed been leveling my crew skills - 318 slicing, 298 artifice and 302 archaeology.

To those playing Smuggler how do you find the cover system and are you enjoying the class?

Playing the Gunslinger and whilst it times it can be a bit clunky getting in and out of cover mostly it works really well and is gun. Find it annoying though how I get in cover and my tank uses some stupid attack that pulls the mob toward me

Even better though is that there is no one to ever role against for gear, hardly ever see other smugglers :p

I'm really enjoying gunslinger too. There is a way to turn off some of the attacks your companion uses such as the annoying 'sub-zero yank attack'. I cant access the game at the moment but you click on something on their portrait which replaces your bottom quickslot with their skills. You can then click on the small green square in the skill in question to stop them from using it.

Only problem is that it resets your settings whenever your companion goes on a mission or leaves you for a time etc... There is probably a work around for this but I dont know what it is.

Haven't sold much on trade centre at all, intact the most popular seems to be extremely low level belts which I only sell for 112. The level ~18 stuff hardly ever sells suggested 900-2000, I stick on for 500-1000 and still doesn't sell.

Ah thanks for this! Good tip and I can stop that annoying pull thing :)

Drove 50miles to nearest PC chain shop and they did not have it in stock. Infact they have not received any and did not know that the game had been released.

On my main i just took gathering skills, slicing at 400 more than pays for the other two. Usually the companions will come back with a box containing 3 to 6k each plus the odd schematic, it costs about 2k to send them. So anywhere between 3k to 15k profit every half an hour just from sending them out while i do other things.

Before I worked out crafting and settled with biochem, I had slicing and treasure hunting - both bring back some very good stuff. Biochem has proven useful, but I still miss the goodies that slicing and treasure hunting provided. Which other gathering skills did you take?

RIZZEE - OcUK have PvE and PvP guilds if you are interested. See the first couple of posts in the thread for details :)

Thanks, will check it out.

Been stuck on the game for like 2 days, can't do any side/story missions. Not a high enough level yet -.-

Do you have to invited to the Beyond The Clock swtor guild?

Revent here.

I have artifice, treasure hunting and archaeology, do you think they're bad choices?

I think what most people have tbh. Not bad choices at all. While I find biochem useful, diplomacy is useless and bioanalysis just adequate to provide crafting mats. Neither of them ever seem to bring back any goodies unlike treasure hunting, slicing etc.

Does anyone know if you can take screenshots ingame? I tried but I'm not sure where they save to :D

I used MSI Afterburner, like so ;

You can select where it saves.

other than the light/dark points collection, the benefit of diplomacy is that it can bring back schematics for any of the crafting professions

Still really enjoying this but more and more I am getting the feeling I am paying monthly for the privilige of playing kotor 3 with online groups. Good game but the more I play the less it feels like an mmo.

i'm hoping you guys can give me some advice, i've been leveling my sith sorc healer which i enjoy in pve but i hate healing in pvp so i want to make a dps class for pvping.

i'm torn between a sniper or a commando and i was wondering which is better for pvp. i'm leaning more towards the commando as i haven't got a republic character yet but just wondering if it does well in pvp.

also do you guys know a decent pvp server?

btw would i be able to get my sith into the frostclaw guild?
