I will be going for the 6950 because it is a good deal.

I think at your res it would be wiser to do the same and save some cash.

get the 6970 and sell the 2 games and the price difference will only be about 25-30 quid

I can find places to buy the pair for ~£20 which would make the HD6950 still the best part of £50 cheaper.

If you're going to buy a card and sell the games then how about this:

Sell those 3 games and you've got a very nice model of the HD 6950 for less than £200.
