This Christmas and Moment.

I'm making choux buns for my croquembouche for tomorrow's dessert, and having a go at doing spun sugar (my kitchen is a bombsite).

My OH could be doing useful things like wrapping a couple of last minute presents, or, you know, getting showered and dressed, but instead he's been playing Zelda for about 2 hours.

How's it going Vic? My buns were successfully transported, on the train, to my fathers. Sitting in his freezer, being cuddled by 3 pheasant! :o

Looking forward to assembling it on boxing day, can't wait to see your and other peoples pictures.

Dreading this drive. :(

I am awaiting to hear what the plans are for tonight, and I just know it'll be the 'local' but sometimes sticking forks in my eyes & sitting in A&E sounds like a better idea for a night out, but choice is limited. :/

My last batch looked amazing when they came out of oven but as they've been cooling, they've sunk a bit, look a bit pancakey some of them! Hoping they'll puff up again when I put the cream in tomorrow!

Once you take them out the oven, grab a knife and put a small slit in them. That lets the steam escape and hopefully they won't sink down. ;)

I've got 15 games that I've bought recently and never even installed them!

Same, and with Steam and GoG sales, and the Humble Indie Bundle, I think I'll end up with another 10 or so by the new year :o

Unrelated, but I spied on you playing BF3 with Lt Matt last night muahahaha

I've had my weekend ruined - NO FOOTBALL.
I usually watch 3 live matches on a Saturday and 2 live on a Sunday plus Match Of The Day and the only thing I've got to watch is St Mirren V Rangers which is on now :(
I've got a choice of 2 Israeli League games later but don't think I'll bother.
Jesus, why hast though forsaken me?

It might be closed sooner, depending on how Christmasy we're feeling...

Why would it be closed? The original wasn't closed because it broke any rules, it was closed because 5UB didn't want to be part of it any more. There's nothing stopping someone from creating a completely new one...

I just don't see a reason why it should be closed so long as we don't have 3 page conversations between 2 people again. The amount of absolute **** posted in GD sometimes is far worse.

Let's not turn it into a moaning thread (myself included) but the old one was closed because quite simply it got crap. Members have no self control on what they post, which turned into pages of nonsense.

This should be kept open, but if people could actually exercise some self-control to avoid posting things like 'having a cup of tea' 'I'm sad' and 'I'm pretty bored now' then it would be a far better thread and who knows you might even get TIAMT back.

There can be some really interesting things in these threads, so let's try to keep content to something which you can hold a conversation with. If someone came up to me and said 'I'm hungry' I'd probably look at them strange and walk off. These posts however are fun and interesting:

Sat on a 160m boat sailing into Rio de Janeiro for xmas being paid quite an obscene amount of money to be sat watching films and surfing the net \o/

KaHn

Awesome

Sweet! Oh, an aye it is that. I got a shot of my friends cottage out past Winchburgh last new year when it had snowed, music on fire on and supplies until I had to start heading for work days later... brilliant.

Off down near the Hydro in the Borders on Sunday so I really want it to snow but it looks just as doubtful as the 15deg warm day that's forecast.

I just want snow it makes everything look ace, especially when you are somewhere more tranquil.

Enjoy!!

So yes, on with the thread, and merry x-mas :)
