The law, morality and what is deemed "ok"

I'm sure Alistair Stewart did one like that as well, because he made reference to his drink driving conviction in it and took part in the test himself.

Ready for another question? trying to get as controversial as possible lol

Question 7
Is it ok to cheat on your other half? no matter what the circumstances

e.g. if they have cheated on you can you justify cheating on them as revenge
If you want to leave then and they won't let you leave (I'll kill myself)

AAAAAAAAAnd.....go!

Question 1
Is growing marijuana for personal use only OK? you're not selling it and you're not letting it interfere with your social or work life
You can smoke what you like but I'll think you're a moron for doing it.

Question 2

Is growing marijuana for medicinal use OK? I saw a program recently about a load of people with MS and other illnesses, they grew it themselves because they knew where it came from and it worked out cheaper than getting it from a dealer.
If it offers you pain relief that you cannot get through normal medical channels then go right ahead

Question 4
If a women is raped, yet abortion is against her religion, should she keep the baby or not?
It's her choice whether her religion takes precedence over her instincts of being a mother or not. The buck ultimately stops with her and her alone.

Question 5
Is it acceptable for a person to accept blood/organs to save their life, even though it's against their religion? (I like this question because to be honest, when it comes to live and death, religion can jump out the window lol)
Pretty much the same answer as above.. Chose life or death, it's that simple. Personal choices of anything like this should never be interfered with by others as long as that person is of sound mind. I'm quite of the opinion if people want to end their own life for whatever reason, they should be allowed to do so unhindered by law

Question 3 (none drug related)
If someone breaks into your house, what do you deem as "reasonable force" we all remember that farmer who shot the guy trespassing on his land, he got a prison sentence.
Reasonable force to me is, as long as they are inside my front door, they will be battered until they stop twitching

Question 6
Removing all of the drug and pimp related problems associated with it, should prostitution be legal in the UK?
Again, freedom of choice for every living person is where I stand. If there are men looking for it and women prepared to open their legs for cash then what's the issue.

Question 7

What was the point in signing that bit of paper that says "love, cherish, honour and obey you for ever and ever" if you are not going to stick to it. People fall out of love, fine, go get divorced before dipping your wick in someone elses candle holder

How can you object and call someone moronic if it doesn't have any implications on their work or social life? oh and they don't drive whilst high lol and there has been not legit proof that weed has any negative effects on a person, other than thinking they can fly or the myth that it leads to harder drugs

It'd make it too easy for dealers, essentially. "Nah, just growing it for my own personal consumption, m8 ", whilst really they're pedalling it to kids, etc!

I don't think kids should have access to weed, etc, 'cause of their developing brains. Furthermore, if it's going to be legalised... ensure there's a safe supply (look at MDMA/ecstasy, for example... incredibly safe, in reality, aside from ~bad batches~).

And we could tax it .

There's a huge difference between the amount required by dealers and the amount someone would have for personal use.

Tax would be a great thing, if we adopted California's law about it, then it could be regulated and it wouldn't be cut with all sorts of random stuff

Of course, but it's good to limit the spread, imo. If it's going to be legal, what's wrong with just having it in a licensed shop? It's no real problem for people who currently go to shops to buy alcohol and tobacco!

Imagine if a dubious parent was growing weed at home... I can envisage a scenario where a kid started dealing (very small time) at school, etc.

Lol reminds me of a friend of mine, his kid got in trouble because he was selling sweets at school, not the same thing I know, the kid got in trouble, I think the school was worried that he might be dealing E's or something, but anyway, he made enough money to buy an X-Box, when his parents got called into school they were like "....he's in trouble, because he's showing initiative and entrepreneurial skills lol"

In the same way I'd class you as moronic for smoking normal fags, You have to be positively thick as pig **** to think it's in anyway "good for you". But carry on, it's your lungs and your personal risk of getting lung cancer by doing so.
Just don't blow the smoke in my direction

Fags and weed are completely different, weed doesn't contain anything thats proven to cause cancer

So I was inspired by another thread about drink driving, to start my own thread about what people deem acceptable in terms of breaking the law

For the purpose of this thread I feel I should state that I am in no way contoning or advocating the use of illegal drugs or breaking the law in any way.

I am simply interested in what peoples opinions are.

Yes of course inhaling volatile organic compounds are really beneficial to your health.

Scientific proof that it's volatile or damaging to your health?

Except most people who smoke weed, smoke it with tobacco (from my experience). Furthermore, it burns hotter, which does damage, right?

But then there are studies which talk about medical benefits (maybe balanced against the harm it does).

There are arguments for both sides, so your absolutist stances are cripplefight-esque, tbh.

Not sure if burning hotter is worse or not, and yes a lot of people do smoke it with tobacco, but what about if you put it in brownies or on pizza?

cripplefight lol
