AMD is preparing a series of new microprocessors based on Zambezi design
Maybe AMD is just trying to trick us?

looking at it again yeah it seems it's a typo. It's a typo, it should say existing X6 based on Thuban as there isn't existing X8 chips.

but if this is true amd has lost the plot. amd is going down hill.
but they totally disabled the L3 on Athlon II.You mean when they rebranded Athlon II X4's as Phenom II's?
AMD have been shady for a while with CPU's.
but they totally disabled the L3 on Athlon II.
i really don't think they'll do that with the Phenom II x8
hence why i said if this is true amd has lost the plot. and amd is going down hill. But it won't be based on what we know as Phenom II.
If it was a true Phenom II X8, it'd be better than the FX8120 etc.
hence why i said if this is true amd has lost the plot. and amd is going down hill.
