How I kept calm I'm not sure...

Rossk26 !highbeams theory makes perfect sense if:-

i) You have a private road with your own key to open the gate at one end and you lock the gate immediately behind you, with no side roads attached to it and your house at the end of it. No one else lives in the house or has access to the gate key.

ii) There is an electrified 15m high fence either side of the road to keep away any animals from crossing the road.

iii) You are learning to drive said road eventually with a patched eye or blindfold.

iv) It never ever rains.

I was going to say that it therefore would clearly work in Jurassic Park as a real life applicable scenario. Just realised it rains in that though. Damn...

I'm trying to work out whether this is a compliment or an insult :p

Sounds like an admission that he loves trolling yourself and Motors. ross is right though, when driving on the roads i know REALLY well, i turn my lights off at night. They're just not necessary! AMIRITE!

DRZ - kudos to you for keeping your cool. I would have been raging. That CTR driver is a bloody moron. You got the link to the thread they are discussing it in on their own forum.

BTW, i'm surprised your MX-5 didn't destroy the CTR? What's its power/weight?

EDIT: Just searched and it appears as though your car is around 190bhp and about 1100kg - which would make your car and the CTR quite similar in power/weight.

Got to page 6 and lost the will to live.

Just for clarification... When I get my EP3 back on the road from being garaged over winter do I:
a) leave my full beam on and do 10mph under the speed limit to get people to overtake me so I can vtec yo their ass.
OR
b) leave them off?

Thanks.

Also, why film yourself driving at night?

Why garage a Civic over winter? It's hardly an Elise!

Good lord I've just demolished a whole bag of doritos and dip reading this thread.

On subject the CTR driver needs a lesson or two in driving etiquette.

Off subject how much longer do we have to put up with ross2k's abuse jumping on the wagon when someone called you a retard but earlier in the thread you called someone a full starred out 4 letter swear word. To me that is not on and your only the second person ever to make it on my ignore list.

Maybe it has had extensive work done to it and he doesn't want to ruin it with the gritty roads and etc..

DRZ, please take that video to the police and update us on the outcome.. They WILL do something.
I'm subscribed to a load of road warriors on road bikes on youtube. A lot of the driving is your normal overtaking too close, getting cut up and such like but every time something truly shocking pops up they all recommend taking the video to the police and they do update the videos with results so I know it does get looked into.
This sort of **** needs stamping out!

eg's..

Nah he's right, it's only a Civic.

My work is a 15 minute walk so rather than spend 5 minutes defrosting/de-icing I take it off the road and use the gf's 120d if I have to.

Also, an Elise is hardly a Porsche, a Porsche is hardly a Ferrari, a Ferrari is hardly a Pagani Zonda and a Pagani Zonda is hardly a Bugatti Veyron.

Why bother garaging anything, it's all metal.

What camera's are people using to take these video's on push bikes and cars. Seem pretty good quality wise and would be interesting to record a journey of my own.

I dunno about you but I've had to de-ice my pride and joy a whole once so far this winter. Don't get it when people get precious about cars and take them off the road for half a year. Modern cars are reliable - enjoy it over Winter, too! I'm massively fussy about the condition of my car and have not found winter to damage it in any way.

We don't live in Siberia - it's forecast to be 14c in Norwich on Monday! You could be enjoying your Civic if it wasn't laid up for the horrible winters we dont get :p

It's the first time I've garaged it for any period. Don't think i'll bother again as SORN'ing it and not driving it probably creates more cost when putting it back on the road than driving the bloody thing all the time.

Pretty much a 3k ornament... Should've bought a Breitling or something as equally pointless.

Heading out to pick up the girlfriend from work last night, pleasantly cruising along the motorway, overtook in the right lane on a two lane section. Performed my manoeuvre, went to move back over when a red CTR came shooting up behind me and undertook just missing the car I'd went past, making me swerve back into the right lane. Little ****** decides to have a fit shooting past to which he was met with a shocking amount of abuse.

Accelerated away like goodness knows what, weaving in and out of the traffic ahead of me making the rush hour traffic swerve and brake. Unbelievable. If my car could keep up I would've followed his scrawny arse and kicked seven shades of **** out of him for nearly killing me. Which sounds awful but I lose my cool pretty easily in those situations. Hope someone in a more powerful car got a hold of his neck.

/Keyboard warrior.

I personally find my main headlights are suitable and no need to blast my high beams (on roads I know well, including country lanes).

So I'd rather have full concentration on control of the steering wheel rather than flicking the high beam stalk every 2 seconds.

Thanks

Didn't read whole thread but you sir either don't drive or should be stripped of your books. Full beams are for other road users too. Can't do two simple things at once? Stick to toy cars
