@Redman - if they do remove instancing, having lots of people fighting over limited resources would be one problem. But on the other hand having a pvp server doesnt make much sense when your clan cant even see the enemy clan youre at war with even if theyre standing in the same place. I would much rather they juggled resources and we had packed worlds.

There's a difference between moaning like little girls and highlighting your concerns.If you don't like a certain aspect of the game, explain what you think would be a good solution and how said problem could be fixed.And perhaps log into to the official swtor forums and highlight your problem with the games there instead of bitching about how crap you think the game is and how you have cancelled your sub, as i for one don't give a flying ****. For those of you talking/asking about how good wow is please follow link below and discuss anything wow there.

The last 10 pages or so the same people have been moaning about how crap they think the game is, we get it, you don't like the game no need to repeat yourselves on every page.
 
I got my first open world PvP kill today.

A republic trooper was loitering near the Republic* Med Centre in the Dune Sea so I went for him and took him down. That was pretty cool.

Anyway he came back for revenge a few minutes later and I killed him again. HA!

Anyway then I carried on with a quest and in the middle of engaging some mods he jumped me again. Anyway I killed him for the third time. HAHA!

This tbh ^^. Cheers Thundy, it is a shame you had to come in here to settle things down.

It is an MMO, and as with MMOs we always have strong differing opinions. There is no need for heated or personal insults. Lets not become like the official forums ;)

Lets just get back to talking about the game in a mature way, organising the guilds, groups etc and have some Christmas fun :)

I personally have subbed for 6 months as I am a big Star Wars fan, am loving the story, have no current MMO in my life and am enjoying being a part of the OcUK guilds. Frostclaw has also been a surprisingly friendly server. After the 6 months, we will see how things go :)

I agree in the second part mate - but the killer there for me is I'm not a fan of star wars and apart from the fan aspect, there's nothing for anyone else.

which class are you playing again rave and how are you finding it? somethings saying sith juggernaut but not sure :P
 
It seems you get flamed if you like the game now. I do agree its not quite as 'open' as I hoped but its nicely polished with a story I actually followed. It also fits in with a busy life, I don't care for these power level whiners. A normal life makes this go at a nice pace.

I dont see that. I am seeing some people who read 10 pages then complain that they read 10 pages, but pretty much dissenting opinions all round - civil for the most part.

I think 'normal lives' are what SWTOR is going to excel at, its (as has been said) a very much put down/pick up kind of game. The only concern I would have is that there are better single player games out there which you can also put down/pick up that wont charge you £8.99 a month (Mass Effect?). Can SWTOR last long term without the power levellers/equipment Hos/crafters/AH fanatics/PVP heads/End-game raiders? I would say that the experience of other MMOs suggests not. Only time will tell.

Really regretting rolling Republic atm, the Immortals crew are great, but everytime I jump in on a Warzone with a PUG the Empire side seems so organised and the Republic peeps are running around like headless Banthas! :(

I was really thinking most of the kiddies etc.. would be rolling Empire to be a "badass sith y0" but it seems they all wanted to be heroes instead, bit like WoW with all the Kiddies playing alliance.

Damnit!

...is it just me but doesn't some of the score sound more like Wrath of Kahn rather than Return of the Jedi.

On a finishing note on this (at least from my side) there is also a difference between putting forth a valid point to rebuke someones criticism and whining like a baby because people aren't sharing your position of sitting below BW's bum with their tongue in a place where tongue's shouldn't venture feeding on whatever they choose to pass from said orifice without complaint or question.

It goes both ways and ultimately there won't be any discussion because certain elements will not engage in a debate they will just flame the other side.

SO in the spirit of having a constructive debate, some of the issues I feel are;

- server instancing as it take the first M out of MMO.
- lack of choice levelling. I say this as most other MMO's have a couple of zones for each level class on this there tends to be one and it can feel a little linear at times, especially on "city" maps like coruscant.
- lack of customisation of both your own character and companions, there are too many people looking the same, especailly companions, and a little customisation would be great in this regard.

These are my concerns, now can we have a grown up debate on people opinions on these issues (if they feel they are issues at all) and if/how BW could go about changing things for the benefit of the game.
