Yay, I finally treated myself today to a current gen console! :D

I just ordered:

PS3 160GB
HDMI Cable
God of War HD Collection
Demon's Souls
Resident Evil 5
Bioshock
Uncharted 1 + 2
The Darkness

Everything but the Darkness coming on Thursday (in my dreams) for just under £280.

Yay! \o/

Merry xmas to me! Think it'll keep me going for awhile.... ;)

Thanks! I went PS3 because of the bluray player (my family still doesn't have one) and I really wanted to catch up on some PS classics. I'll definitely be getting the MGS:HD collection as well as the Devil May Cry one, because I've always wanted to check out those games.

By the time I've finished with that lot, I'll have Bioshock 2, God of War 3, MGS4, Uncharted 3, Devil May Cry 4, The Darkness 2, Dark Souls to keep me busy... for hopefully a sneaky cheap price :D
 
Hehe nice one :) ps3 as a blu ray player is a nice choice! My tv has something called anytime+ which means i can use my tv remote as a dvd/bluray remote! Good little extra that makes it all good.

There are a few good playstation games out there to enjoy too and ps1 back library is nice

Heh was gonna say get MGS4, how come you haven't picked up GT5?, its under £10 now and a good game to chill on.

Also if you want them I could give you Resistance 1 and 2 for postage costs?

Racing games really aren't my thing, my brother had gt5 and we got bored in about 30 minutes :o

I didn't think it was too shabby. Lowest I could find the ps3 brand new was 180 from the rainforest but I saw that the EU branch of amazon that sold it has gotten chronic reviews, so ordered the bulk from the jersey place and paid for speedy delivery :)

Well it was only a couple of weeks ago I saw the PS3 160gb for £154.85 in a supermarket. I've seen a few £200 320gb bundles with uncharted 3. Today I can see a 320gb bundle with Unharted 3, Battlefield 3 and fifa 12 for £249. The other games you list can be had for next to nothing.

Not interested in most bundle games, and I haven't seen a 320g ps3 with a brand new game at anywhere near that price, let alone one I'm interested in. Been to all the big 3 supermarkets and haven't seen anything that cheap for a standalone console last week or online.. Maybe it was a managers special.

I don't want to pay for 2 games I'm not going to play, but uncharted 3 with ps3 for £200 isnt a shabby price if true.

EDIT - just seen some price drops! If I waited a little longer I could have paid a fraction extra and got a bit more (double hard-drive and a game like resistance 3), so in that sense I guess I did lose out, but I can't see the use in a bigger HD for my needs and it wouldn't be a game I wanted anyway. So not too sure how to feel about that one!

Darkness is absolute garbage imo. Other games are pretty good though, res evil 5 pretty boring though imo.

I got another PS3 for xmas from the gf, 320gb silver slim one with ps move pack and couple games, alough I've already got a ps3 lol, one for up stairs one for down I guess :L.
 
You've been done mate. Can get all that + more for less if you look.
Also expect prices will get cheaper over the coming days now that the mad xmas panic rush is over with.
 
I ended up cancelling my internet 160g order and picked up the ps3 320g with resistance 3 for £200 :)

Took about ten days to install the ps3 latest version, but I had no idea that video games had got so intense, the bit in the sewer with the zombie things, eeeek!! :eek:

Having lots of fun and looking forward to my gaming stash listed above arriving tomorrow :D
