Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Wife's got me battlefield3 and as a bonus MW3 :-)

Had a blast on battlefield 3 but 1st major problem I keep getting blinded by torches? Wlf?
Any advice

Ps i love the game
 
Just gone through all the different attachments for the mg36 to get another title and i thought the gun was pretty good with the thermal scope which i didnt think it would be but i still reckon the mg36 & l86 are both very average and it seems to me the lmg's were stronger in mw2 , just started using the p90 in mw3 for the first time and was a big fan of it in cod4 .
 
That's Battlefield for you always a huge capacity to grief your own team. Major Nelson has even complained about that on his blog :p

Not really.

Flashlights are a tactical feature of the game. The purpose of them is to blind you. They are toned down in the next patch, but only the range at which they blind you is reduced
 

What do you make of this folks round one no contest I'm running steady aim just like this guy, but not a speck of damage in the killcam. On paper with body shots ADS+TTK is roughly the same between these guns, but -20ms on the MK46.

Round two I resume a film on iPlayer and it's a very different story.

I didn't think it was you firing as he wasn't lit up, it was simply a case of teammate started shooting so I moved on team mate missed guy turned and went prone and shot me, I think it was a random as whomever on our team that was shooting the enemy gave up.

Oh right.

I did some basic tests on my line when iPlayer is running and it seems to add more to the jitter than ping. Didn't check packet loss as I have an aversion to installing Java.

Yeah it seems like tumble weed online is everybody at the in-laws?

Most people will be with their family instead of playing with themselves online.

iPlayer doesn't really affect your connection unless you have less than 8mb. You want to run a continuous upload test to avoid host.
 
love that terrible feature of Battlefield 3, one of my not so fond memories of the terrible beta where I would get blinded in the middle of a nice, clear, bright street by some blokes torch miles away, nice touch that! :p
 
Even when it says <150ms matches you can still potentially be matched into a <50ms according to one of the devs.

Mine is an up to 10mb line sold as up to 20mb it's not host I need to avoid though it's getting compensated. I have practically no jitter on my line normally and HD playback seems to add double the jitter of SD.

I like host my flawless with a stock Type 95 on Hardhat was on my host, but I don't get it that often.

Yeah it seems like it crappy non dedicated line for the win.

I don't know what was going on with the initial lobbies last night dreadful hosting and how did we get match made with those Germans, Norwegians, Swedes? I'd expect that in MW2 with it's smaller player pool, but not it this. After rebooting the lobby it seemed to turn a corner mostly all UK and good host mixed with a bit of my own host :D.

So many Christmas noobs I'd love to of stayed up, but I turn into the Hulk without at least 6/7 hours a night :o
 
I had one maybe two games last night that were not utterly dreadful for lag. One game was so bad I saw a guy reload when Soulja was shooting him, kill him, reload then kill me.

How I laughed.

Level 75 almost finished. How I wish I had some double XP :(

Lag lastnight was terrible, out of the ten games we played, only 1 or 2 were actually ok :(
 
Your connection is either bad and you benefit from compensation or it's good and you're a victim of compensation.

Fango you did get an MK14 quad on Mission I've put the game in my vault slot 4 let me know when you've grabbed it. Theatre improvements are coming in January apparently I don't know if that will mean 1st person on older 3rd party clips, but it might be worth hanging on to.

EDIT: I love Elite I noticed some noob who stabbed me last night has and offensive Black Ops emblem so I put the game in just to file a complaint :p
