Openreach announces latest fibre roll-out

ohh my exchange is on the list, what's surprising is that I've already got FTTC through Digital Region so in theory BT could easily enable the exchange right now.

Except that the digital region project uses fibre that terminates in a seperate cab that BT have no access to :p

As for the new BT dates, i would take them with a bucket load of salt. they have just moved back some activations by several months, originally quoting a december 2011 completion. Either way, i already have it here anyway :D

:( Guess which exchange I'm on.

isn't this all a bit miss leading as this all focuses on the exchange getting FTTC enabled, In reality you need the Exchange AND the CAB updated/installed.

Very true, but I guess if the exchange is being upgraded then you've got a lot more chance to have your local CAB upgraded. I'll be on 4mb for the next few years I reckon :(

Getting a bit of a sense of deja-vu here - Isn't this information more than 2 weeks old and has been discussed in depth on the big FTTC/FTTP thread?
