If anything, just because its drivable.

Props to the kid if he is doing what he likes doing though, and achieving success in it, can't knock that.

You dont buy an MX5 because it looks good, you buy an MX5 because it's a beautifully balanced, perfectly handling well priced entry level sports car. A genuine, bona fide sports car.

Once you completely ruin it like that surely that defeats the object of buying an MX5 in the first place?

I'm sorry but the 'its his hobby' crowd are completely missing the point. Nobodies hobby should involve buying shiney wheels before treating the rust, surely?!

I don't understand a friend of mine who bought an mx5, in my opinion he ruined it. If anyone reads fast car mag it was in last months issue. Here is how he bought it.

he might be hating all the standard mondeos that drive around all bone stock..

Not gonna lie, that's probably one of the best MX-5s I've ever seen.

I don't think the car in the video can be even driven, surely the slightest bump will shred the tyres. It does mention it's "static" but it's not really that great looking anyway?

I guarantee a standard Mondeo would be vastly better to actually drive than the MX5 in the video.

You can't say that about robs car! (I know him too, lives near me :p)

It's all opinion really and to be fair to rob he's done a great job with his car and spent a lot of time and money on it. It helps that it now has the go to go with the show though.

Gotta admit though, I'd never run my 5 as low as he does. Cracking your sump on a catseye is a bit excessive!

I actually like the look of the above save for the big wing. I mean, it'd ruin the dynamics of the car and I'd never do it to mine, but I like the style..

I'm a bit gutted for the lad if I'm honest as he has clearly lost his way, He really shouldn't be messing with the handling of an MX5 & showing a car with arches like that is lame for want of a better word.

The wheels on that car look horrid.
Maybe I'm too "old" but I just don't get the slammed look at all.

Don't get me started on stickerbombing and rat-look either!
