Hi. i just purchased two games, NBA 2K12 and Virtua Tennis 4.

i Paid using paypal through the Steam client and whilst it was processing the transaction, it failed after waiting 30mins.

However, i have received a receipt for my payment saying this:
You sent a payment of £22.48 GBP to Steam Games ([email protected])

It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in your account.

I have noticed that both games are on my steam library but they cant be installed as it is saying my purchase is still be processed?

How long will it take to be processed? Its been over 2 hours since i got the error message when i originally tried to process the order?

My shopping cart still has the two items on it but i don't want to purchase it again and get charged twice.

Thanks

edit: the games are no longer on my steam list and i have logged into my paypal account and the money has been transefered to steam yet where is the two games i bought?

When did you ask? They're very busy this time of year due to the sales. I wouldn't expect a reply for hours.

Usually when this has happened to me, it's sorted itself out automatically within a day.

It has been a day now. no sign of the two games i clearly purchased as stated on my paypal account. Also almost 24hours since originally sending them details of my issue via steam customer care website

Paypal and Steam is a huge no no - So many issues that people have had resulting in their steam accounts being suspended etc etc. Always use a card with Steam if you can

Since when is it a no no? Steam recently got hacked. having your card there is a even bigger no no imo.

End of the day, they have offered paypal a well known payment method used by billions in the world and it should work simple as that.

I always use paypal on steam as I cant be bothered to enter my card details each time I buy something and if the option is there, I dont want steam storing my card details on the system for 'convenience'. Not sure if they do as Ive never used my card on steam.

Paypal is safe, peoples accounts are probably only being suspended if there is dodgy activity going on, my paypal has never failed me so far on steam.

Well you've just found out haven't you?

found out what exactly? not teh first i have used paypal. Plus i blame Steam more then paypal. Paypal says the money has been transfered to steam succesfuly. Paypal does not magically let me download full legit games of what i just purchased, steam does and guess which failed me. Steam.

I bought two games that i cant even play. got charged but cannot ****ing play the games i bought and i have emailed them 24hours ago and no reply

Random paypal charge back = Steam account disabled. Major ball ache to get it back again.

The one reason why i won't use Paypal with Steam.

Youve lost me there. Is this because someone dosent have enough money in their account to pay?

Either way, if its a known issue with paypal then Im sure steam have come across it before otherwise they wouldnt allow paypal as a form of payment.

should contact paypal and steam , happed to me my account was blocked for month till paypal would make transaction to steam and paypal was not having it.

so after month of talkign to steam they went against there rules and unblocked my account cause i was regular customer

As others said, all I've heard is bad things with Steam and paypal, people have had their games/account locked until the dispute is done. Thing is steam say go to paypal, and well paypal stick their fingers up their bum for a month or so.

Do steam store card information of previous purchases? or is it completely safe to use your card (even if they get hacked) as long as you select not to store card information?

Wait for steam support to get back to you, it's Christmas and they have massive sales on, they are going to be busy.

Yes it sucks but sucky things happen, it will get sorted.
