Trackmania 2 canyons question

Hello all, if I download trackmania 2 is it easy to back up & reinstall - i.e save downloaded file to external hard drive then re run it or will I have to download it again, if i have to download it again will I have to pay for it again ?

I reinstalled maniaplanet a while ago and it re-downloaded TM2 without any issues. Was kinda funny when it put the download size in SI notation though.
