Here is my planned layout for the components in my build (Starting next week if everything arrives promptly):

Layout-ECO.jpg

I'm using all EK components (bar tubing), which are as follows:

- Rad - EK Coolstream XT 360
- Res - EK Multioption X2 150
- Blocks - 2x EK FC-5970 Copper-Plexi
- Pump - EK DCP 4.0 18w
- Tubing - 5 Meters: 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Thermochill Flex Hose
- Barbs: 11x EK 12mm (1/2") G1/4 High-Flow Fitting

Please see the following picture:

** No Hotlinking - Please rehost before replacing **

That "tube" coming from the bottom fitting, on mine this is coming from the top. I cannot undo either end of the res (second hand, not sure if it's been glued), will this have any affect on the performance of the res? Also note, I will be using Mayhem's Aurora Tharsis Red coolant.

You got an internal pic of the case?

I presume you mean of my specific rig...not as of yet I don't. I could grab you a low resolution one if you like, if not the original pic I posted (Haf X) is pretty much the same as my system except that the CPU already has the CoolIT Eco ACL 240mm water cooler on it (Rad is situated in the front drive bays).

it'll be easier to have the inlet to the res at the top. So go
res
pump
GPU
GPU
CPU
RAD
res

Please see updated pic. I forgot to mention in OP that CPU already is water cooling.

Also, if I where to use the top port as the inlet on the Res, how would I fill it? And, how would I then link it to the GPU's (The hose I have isn't fantastic at bending)?

I suppose if I mounted the Res where the case rear exhuast is, I could easily go Rad>Res>GPU....

How would I fill the Res/Loop though?

I'm still left with the problem of filling the loop. If I go with that loop, I'll have to get a Y splitter so i can use one side as a fill port...unless I'm missing something here.

Like this then?

There should be 2 inlets at the top of the res. Connect one to your loop, open the other one and stick a funnel in :)

don't think so... why would you need one?

Stupid question, which end is the top? I presumed the end with the internal tube connected to it was the top...if it isn't them I'm going to have trouble with my coolant: Mayhem Aurora, if I use it with that tube coming from the bottom, the particulates in the fluid will settle in the res. I can't seem to open it either to remove that tube, I think the previous owner may have glued it together.

Forgive the low res pics, only have a cheap ass camera to hand.

Resized.

The problem I have is that if I use the res with the inner tube as the outlet, the particulates in the Mayhem's Aurora solution will likely settle in the res due to a lack of circulation.

Note: I have just tried forcing the res open with a tool used to take oil filters off tractor engines, that thing is stuck tight.
