Steam Christmas Sale 2011

Have they chopped a couple of days off the sale?

On the list of achievements, there are now only two new days, Dec 30 and Dec 31 left to reveal. I could have sworn when the sale started, there was a Jan 1 and Jan 2 there as well....

Is L4D2 multiplayer only or is there a single-player campaign? Sorry for the daft question but I've been out of gaming for a very long time.

The review on gametrailers.com makes me think that it has SP. If so, how many hours is the campaign?

SP is just playing through the game with bots instead of with friends.

It's enjoyable enough but the came is really meant to be played with real people online for most enjoyment.

For the price it is, it's worth a play through in SP if that's all you're interested in but MP is where the real fun lies.

Yeah there is SP. It is a reasonable length. The MP is just using the same maps anyway (the campaign mode on MP is just SP but co-op).

Its all about the multiplayer to be honest :)

It's not a single campaign as such. There's sets of levels that make up small campaigns that can last from 30-40 minutes upward generally.

You can play on your lonesome with bots, but it was designed as a co-op game. You'll get far more out of it playing with friends.

I've kinda been put off L4D due to not being able to save your game :(

You can pick to start from whichever level you want at any point anyway. I think you've misunderstood the kind of game it is, there's no big SP campaign. :)
