Hi all,

Could someone check these and tell me if these temps are too high?

For the usage, is it too high?

The fan is rather loud at 100% >.<

Yep, what are the temps in game, use afterburners on screen display to show temps while in game. Have a play about with the custom fan profile in afterburner, auto fan on theese cards isnt great tbh.

Those temps are normal, if not pretty good for a gtx 470 with a reference cooler. Mine used to reach 100 degrees quite regularly while gaming. I have since swapped the reference cooler for the zalman cooler vf3000 cooler, so much cooler and quiter than that old vacuum cleaner.

Both of the screens above were in game :) Just windowed mode.

Hmm, ok, I guess temps are not my problem then. Thanks.

If it helps here are some Kombustor results:

Custom fan profile should help a bit, 77c isnt bad, but i prefer using my own fan settings. Keeps both cards at 70c ono.

Mine used to get to 78c with the fan on 100%.

That's why I replaced it with a Zalman. The temps weren't really the issue, just that piddly little centrifugal fan did my head in. It's only about 1" across.
