Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

What is it with sniper rifles in this game ?
Was on with a guy running round just using a sniper rifle, watching his killcam it seems like he just pointed it in the general direction pulled the trigger and gets the kill !! Ridiculous, can't be right.

PS Anyone have a Belkin N router (F5D8633-4)? Mine gives me a constant strict nat, have forwarded all the necessary ports etc, curiously if i do a network setting check on the xbox and start the game the nat becomes open for that session.
 
Tried restarting your router pmbuzz?

I have a belkin, it sometimes changes to moderate so I have to restart it to go back to open.

I enabled the 'uPnP' or w/e it is to get it to open, no ports involved.
 
Picked this up today as it was on offer for a bargain.

I have a love hate relationship with CoD now but i'm enjoying this MP. Not touched single player yet. Probably won't.

Got mw2? Try loading that up first and it gives you you an open nat which when you load mw3 also gives you one. If you restart your router you'll have to reload mw2 again. No idea why it works but it does for me!

I always have a launcher but I do find UAV's hard to shoot down in mw3. Think it's the maps, lots of high buildings and also fog/night/cloud makes them difficult to spot imo.

They should either make them appear on the radar like every other killstreak or just make them hover in the center of the map, since for the lowest killstreak it can be one of the biggest pains in the arse to shoot down.

yep exactly the same router and always have open nat what you have to do is assign an ip to the xbox outside of the DHCP reservation list then put that ip in the DMZ and hey presto open all night!

if you need more help just ask and I will talk you through it all wireless or wired makes no difference as it will work all the time this way. Oh and once you do it uncheck all the forward ports that you made up as the port forwarding sucks on this router, also if you have a ps3 just do exactly the same and use the same ip as I'm sure you can't game on xbox and ps3 at the same time lol.

I'd advise playing the campaign. It's actually pretty decent,miles better than MW2 and Black Ops anyway(I only did about 2 missions in BO and never touched the campaign again). My only problems were the overuse of "breach and clear" moments :rolleyes:
 
Try doing Black Ops Campaign on Veteran and you will see a different side of it. I didn't care much for it really all that interrogation Mason/Reznov rubbish.
 
It wasn't mine, but that would have been random and what is special about that? It didn't show him as being dead on I guessed where he would be next.
