Well I brought home yesterday my new 56 plate st-2 in orange.
after decided hard whether to get a diesel or a petrol I went for a 2.5 petrol turbo lol
What can i say about the car? I love it, the 5 cylinder sounds really nice.
It is a very clean car few little stone chips here but nothing I cant sort.
The only thing it needs is 4 new tyres, there is about 3mm left on them, tried to get money knocked off the dealer but as the car was cheap he would not budge.
So getting some falken 912's fitted next week and tracked.
Ill get some pictures of it tomorrow when its light

Don't fit Falken 912's to a Focus ST. It's a torquey front heavy car that handles fantastically and really deserves decent tyres. You can get Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's for £116 each from Camskill.

I had one when they first came out. Was fantastic having a bright orange car, but the novelty soon wore off. Agreed, they sound fantastic. Enjoy getting ~200 miles from a tank! :)

So nearly bought one of these, I absolutely love them.

In the end I couldn't justify the eye-water economy of the engine of pure awesomeness and opted for a Golf mk5 GT Sport 170 instead. Don't regret my choice, but am hella jealous! ;)

PS, Why orange!?!?! :p

Ant

Place near me has an ST2 for £8K. It's seriously testing my resolve to drive past it every day.

I paid quite a bit cheaper than 8k for it, was a bargain!
I have used 912's on all my cars and I have found them to be spot on, had them on my mondeo st tdci and they performed pretty well.
I would like the new asymmetric f1 but might have to save up a bit more.
I used to be a wholesale manager in a local tyre depot so pretty now my stuff about tyres, kept in good contact with them so they will do me a good deal.

It has diamondbacks on the front lol they are terrible! honestly who would put these on this car? has dunlop sp9000s on the back which are obsolete now

Ill get some pictures up tomorrow, really happy with my purchase its really brought me a lot of happiness after the split up with the ex lol

Nice car you've purchased, but really please put some decent tyres on. You're putting on midrange family-car tyres on a performance hatchback, basically swapping carp for carp. I'm sure they perfomed nicely on a ST tdci, but that wasn't a perfomance hatch!

Hillariously, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's for £116 from Camskill in your size, are cheaper than the same tyre for my Mrs' C-Max. :(

Really? didnt some of them come on 235/40/18 ?
Well ill look into getting decent tyres as I say they performed really well on the mondeo so always used them since, on the vectra vxr I had the 452's but they are a bit more expensive! more sportier design though.
might have to get myself a pair of them next week!
camskill is only about 30 miles from me, i dont know if they fit them for that price too ?

that's crazy cheap for goodyear F1's, the same for my car (255/35/18) are £180 each, you just bought a performance car, £116 a tyre isn't exactly much

Great choice  Although I am slightly biased ;)

Just had 2x Goodyear Asymmetric 2's fitted for £125 each @ Revolution, Gateshead. Another great choice is the Hankook EVO V12's which can be had for £105 fitted.

Highly recommend joining the Focus STOC, lots of really useful info, help and advice :)

Enjoy!

Few people are willing to admit on the internet that they compromised to save money, hence much salt is required with tyre opinion.

I used to sell lots of 912's and we fitted them on plenty of vehicles in our depot and no one came back and said really bad about them.
Quite a few people said that they are not the greatest on mileage
Times are hard at the moment and ill have to check my funds and see what I can stretch too
