They were complete rubbish! I was standing east of the eye and could hardly see anything from all the smoke the fireworks where giving off...I must have really been down-wind. Definitely not as good as last years!!

However, fireworks are becoming a tad obsolete (repetitive to), they should should more intuitive light shows along with it, one of those 3D ones.

Its only in orbit if it can stay there for extended periods of time, simply shoot upwards and blowing it up ACCIDENTLY , is not orbit.

I like the music they used, some old school tunes from the 90s: Alright, a remix of Firestarter and what seemed like a Bhangra/Punjabi remix of Jump Around.

something that has been bugging me was the last piece of music played during the fireworks. im sure i recognise it from somewhere. does anyone know what videogames/films its been in?

The last tune was a part from "Faithless - Insomnia".

As much as the London fireworks are good, I don't think they will ever beat Sydney, but I guess that it just down to the amount of money spent.

Watching and feeling them last night was awesome. Queuing for nearly 4 hours to get to Mrs Macquarie's Chair overlooking the Harbour was well worth it. They were knocking the leaves off the trees!

I kept thinking what an utter waste of money. 15 mins of constant fireworks not a little bit excessive in the current economic state? Must have cost millions, just so a load of tourists to 'woooo' and 'ooooo' at.

Should have saved the money and given it to some of the charities the Tories have screwed.

I liked the big ben bit, but then the London Eye display gets boring. The quality of fireworks were good, I think they should light them off parliament next year.
