Hi all.

I am after a some thing that around £30-£40 mark and I seen some that looks ok but not sure what one best.

I am using at this time the sidewinder precision 2 but only borrowing from my mate and I think it's getting a bit old now.

I seen 3 that I like the look of :)

Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick

Speedlink Black Widow USB Flightstick

And last one I was looking at was the Saitek Aviator as I liked the look of the switches and dual throttle.

The mostly play il-2 cliffs of dover but mite buy DCS A-10 Warthog as well soon.

Thanks for advice.

I bought a Thustmaster for a quick buy as I am getting back into flight simming. For the money its pretty good and solidly built, its great for FSX but I find it a bit sloppy and imprecise for combat sims like Cliffs and Rise of Flight.

It works better in Warthog but I think the A-10 is a forgiving and stable plane to begin with.

Oh, And Warthog is a simply amazing. I think it might still be on Steam sale for £14

That is my sidewinder precision 2 feels abit sloppy with the aiming and it's losing me kills lol

I was going to get the a-10 Warthog sim but I will hold off for now as I am playing cliffs of dover and rise of flight.

I think the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro mite be the best option then if I wan't good aim with the joystick ?

You certainly pay for what you get in this market. My old Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick, which I dare say is about 10 years old now, is still working perfectly to this day :)

My step-dad has that Thrustmaster one linked in the OP, it's alright but it's nothing special.

I would love the Saitek X52 but my Gf with cut my bits off if I spend to much right now lol :(

@andy_mk3

Well I don't think it's normal but I can use my little finger to tap the joystick and it move's all over the place, mite crack it open see If I can fix it.

Been looking at the thrustmaster t.160000 I think is around £40

Are you talking about the sidewinder being glitchy?? Don't they have a little light sensor in the handle which can tell if your holding it or not, and it turns the FFB off when your not holding it. If you don't realise its there, it might seem glitchy you accidentally cover the sensor without holding the stick firmly.

This yes :) It is a bit annoying really as it doesn't self-centre when you let go of it, but it will if you cover the sensor without holding the stick :) Was awesome back in the day when I played combat flight sim :)

Would you recommend a used one?? Been looking at getting one off fleabay as I am getting back into my combat sims. There don't seem to be a whole lot of FFB sticks out there, even the £300 Warthog stick isn't FFB. I've seen this old stick recommended elsewhere, worth a punt?

My one the SideWinder Precision Pro 2 Joystick and I don't think it has FFB.
And my problem is like the joystick loose after being used a lot I think lol.

@weyland yutani

I think I am going to go for the thrustmaster t.160000, keep reading that it's great for combat sims :)

I went for the Thrustmaster T.16000M in the end.

It mite not have a great throttle but if the stick has the accuracy and precision from what the reviews say I will be happy :)

Thank you all for your help my joystick should be here in a few weeks :( lol.

Cheers.
