Do you still use a wall calendar?

You can sync other people's Callanders.
That way you can see your wife's/children's etc and still see what's happening when out and about. Someone invites you to something. You can look at it instantly and know what's happening.

Ha ha you don't know my wife :p not interested in technology, she hates my DHD and HP Touchpad I quote "bloody touch screens keep doing stuff I don't want them to" my 3yr old daughter can use them more proficiently.

I use Google Calendar because you can set it to remind you xx/days/hours/minutes before an event and because it's in sync with my phone and on my homescreen "wall" I have it as a widget :p

Plus it's extra good because everyone I know has an email address so adding them as guests etc to events and appointments means they can see my calendar and update items when needed.

Can't do that with a calendar from the stone ages.

I don't use a calendar of any description (outside of work), but I do like the idea of a wall calendar as it could be easily shared with the wife etc and easier to glance at / update (when in the room) compared to faffing about with phone touchscreen etc.

Might try setting something up with google now the wife and I both have Android smart phones though - I can see her getting frustrated with it though!

To be honest a lot of it is probably because I have a pretty good memory, most important dates will stick in the mind, if I forget something then the wife can check her diary.

I've got a wall calendar. I have an Edward Monkton one this year - the guy who does this sort of thing:

Nice wall calendar from the other half up in the office space. Much easier to glance at for quick dates (ie. when on the phone), small arrangments.

Writing is always quicker than typing for me and I generally keep the wall calendar in sync with a smaller moleskine.

Never got to grips with an electronic calendar, I own a smartphone and use all the other gizmos though.

I like to have a wall calender at work, usually near the phone, it means if someone gives you a date, a quick glance tells you what day it is, how far away etc etc easier than finding your phone. I rarely right things on them though.

Bought myself one for home this year, hopefully will need to keep track of a few more dates this year. Probably use google calender too though.

Every christmas without fail my parents get me a calendar for the upcoming year, I always hang them but tend to forget they are there lol

I have two (and there are others in the house...)

A Discworld one by the PC, next to the Discworld prints (and under the Godfather), which is primarily there because I like the illustrations some of which are larger versions of classic discworld covers, others are new or much larger prints of other discworld stuff* (IE characters).

Then I've got the one that came with FHM, which basically gets all sorts of appointments and notes written on it :p

I'll give up paper calenders when you can look at one on a Computer and make notes on it without the need to have the computer on, and can look at it with a glance regardless of whatever else you're doing ;)
They also have the advantage of not losing your appointments suddenly in a crash:p (although I am pretty careful with backups).

*I also have the hardback "art of the discworld" for much the same reason.

I don't but my wife has one hanging in the breakfast room. It's one of these A3 photo double page ones and she writes all of our appointments into it. Mine are electronic.

Not personally but the mrs has one in the kitchen. It's damn handy actually, when I need to find a date out I never seem to have any devices close to hand - or they are off.
