Well, after much deliberation and looking at the above I think I'm going to go down the i5-2500K route.
Again, I would like to reiterate the fact that video encoding etc is not my main priority and will therefore not be the main use of the CPU.
Yes, HT does have it's advantages but for gaming and general use I think you can all agree the 2500k seems the better choice.
Shame about the Members Market being only accessible by meeting that criteria. Would be nice to pick up one 2nd hand and save a few quid but then again, getting one new and with 3 year warranty is a good buy in my mind.
