*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

I've decided to go Biochem on all my toons... Reusable Medpacks / Stims so much more handy.

Sure the other stuff is nice - but you out level it so quick!
I dropped my gathering skills that were 400 so i could use the Biochem stuff, got it to 400 last night and found out all the goodies from it don't even require you to have Biochem to use. It's only the purples that have been learned from breaking down the greens then blue. All the purples that you can learn straight away from the vendor have no requirement other than being level 50. Shame they need rare resources that only drop from the end bosses in hard mode instances, never really liked raiding :/

It's the stuff you learn and the 50 epic recipes they are all BOP so only useable by you and you can't craft them for others. It isn't raiding it's just level 50 instances whereas the raiding will consist of 8-16 people.

Addons would make me sub for a month at least. Trying to pick out your focus bar / CDs mid battle is a pain and a good rearrange of scale as well as a levelling guide would suit me down to the ground. Ooh a cd timer would be great sigh.

I can understand a UI revamp or addons to be allowed, as the current UI sucks majorly. It needs a scale bar aswell to make it smaller so it takes up less of my screen.

I don't think a CD timer and level guide are needed though, this isn't WOW and that stuff should stay with WOW and not come over.

Having never played WoW I don't really understand the need for so called 'addons' ofc someone may enlighten me :)

I guess I'm just used to mastering a class and knowing in advance what skills or counters to use in most given situations.

There is one thing I really hate in MMo's and thats macro's, take Rift for example certain classes could put 10 skills in a queue on one button !! how monotonous and insanely boring.

If you've never played WoW you won't understand the appeal of addons, they are huge in WoW.

Macro's are a no-go though, I agree. Dodgy stuff.

Levelling guide probably not, im just Not interested in the story whereas im sure most are. However a Power Auras type mechanic would be totally in keeping with the Jedi angle. Trying to count focus or estimate how much time is left on a CD in PvP feels artificial and inefficient. Power Auras are really rather a good way of doing it.
