Top Gear India Special

Just caught a re-run and something twigged in my head that I had missed before. Clarkson vented May's A/C gas away, in the UK that would be an unlimted fine and or up to 5 years in prison... guess its ok cos its India but still the was a big hoo harr about him drinking while driving over the north pole lol.

I have always defended Top Gear but its become so predictable, I didn't enjoy the India episode one bit :(

I think it also depends on the gas. If it was R12 then I believe it is illegal to work on it at all. Vehicle Air Con systems are not covered in quite the same way as fixed installations either.

Just goes to show how ignorant the UK press is.

Or maybe its just not sensationalist enough to bother the "be offended on account of everybody else" brigade.

I found the whole episode really boring and dull. Take an idea years ago and milk it to death in every country possible.

Such a shame to see Top Gear specials become such rubbish.

Watched it, didn't really enjoy it and thought previous "specials" were a lot better..

The signs on the train ripping apart was easy to see a mile off.

As everyone else, a very poor special. Nothing compared to the Botswana/Bolivia/North Pole and Vietnam ones. Too much scripting and not enough driving. I also felt the landscape scenery captured wasn't up to their normal stunning quality.

That bad?

I might just put it on in the background and do other bits and pieces....

It's just very obvious they're milking previous ideas and putting no effort into it. A total, by the numbers, borefest, compared to all the other specials.

And I love Top Gear.

The special episode was crap, and I like Top Gear (despite not liking Jeremy Clarkson. Is that even possible? Sure he's funny, but his annoyance stands out more).

Anyway the India special has nothing on the other specials. Sure it's gone far beyond it being a factual series about cars. I must say its lost its touch. The trio should be allowed to come up with their own jokes without it being staged.

Cue "get a grip, it's comedy etc. Was I the only one getting a memo that it's a comedy etc". I thought it was crap. And a few others on here thought it was crap. A lot of my freinds who watched it thought it was crap.

+1 to all of that. It was shockingly poor, wholly predictable, boring and dull.

I only made it to the hour mark and then gave up. Why anybody thought that was good tv will baffle me.
