Border Gavaskar Trophy: Australia v India Test Series

6 out of 10 Indians don't like it up 'em. The remaining 4 are opening batsmen in the Indian cricket team. ;)

Aussies gonna get spanked simple as that...the way they capitulated in the 2nd test against NZ shows that they are still a long way off from being where they used to be.

3-1 to India.

214/2 to 282 all out.

Bunch of nobends. WTF is wrong with you people?! Better to spend your time training to be F1 drivers

(I'm going to remain calm, I'm not going to punch my monitor, I'm going to remain calm...)

:p

Siddle! Siddle! He makes 'em take it up the middle! :D

Personally I think this series will be a battle between India's batsmen and Australia's bowlers. Our batting order is still too fragile to present a serious danger. If we win it'll be because our bowlers cracked the Indian openers and sold their own wickets dearly, as in the last test.

Wow, India all out for 191. Siddle, Pattinson & Hilfenhaus just shredded them like something you'd shred quite easily with a sharp implement specifically designed for shredding.

Chin up, we might fall over in a heap today. :p

317 comments on Cricinfo's account of yesterday's play! Some of them are quite testy:

Jobs avaialble for indian players after 4-0 defeat against australia. Dravid: Mason job since he is job in building walls Sachin: Batting coach for under 10 school boys Dhoni & kohli: Bar dancer Ishant sharma: can work at zoo for washing giraffe Yadav & Ashwin: i guess you can get chance to play in bangladesh league and IPL Ravi shastri: Joker (since he is good in praising his team)

If Indians can not bat on Melbourne and Sydney wickets then what will happen on Perth wicket..... India all out for 22!!! The God, The Wall, Mr Reliable, The Cool, and all those big names have shown their true character. GO INDIA GO.............. JUST 2 MORE TEST TO LOOSE AND THEN ANOTHER 4-0 THRASHING....Yet Dhoni will continue to enjoy the leadership....... He is the most inept leader India has ever produced!!!

It looks like Australia is playing against Bangladesh. India's dream of number one test team will be broken after completion of trip of Australia.

There's a lot of frustrated Indians out there...

This chap Pattinson must be a pretty good bowler. Have England something to fear or are India just batting poorly?

Both.

This is a good pace attack, when you add Cummins into the mix, you have an attack that knows what lines to bowl, gets good swing and bounce, and can bowl FAST.

Indian bowlers can't handle the swing or bounce and so are playing poor shots.

This bowling attack will challenge England, but I think England's bowling attack will tear through Aussie's batsmen :p

I still don't understand how with all the talent India have got at their disposal they manage to perform like a pub team. Have they just lost the patience and focus needed for long test matches?

That's exactly the question I've been asking.

When a child refuses to eat their food, you say to them: "some children are starving in the world, so appreciate the food you have and eat it"

This can be applied to the Indian batting order: "Some teams seriously lack batting talent, so make use of what you have!"

I really can't see why they're sucking so bad. How can you have 4 legendary batsmen in your team (Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman), and still be a pile of crap? Teams like England have no legendary batsmen. It's mind boggling.

They haven't lost their patience: Dravid and Laxman don't play any other format, and Sachin and Sehwag rarely play ODIs.
