It is extremely windy on the west coast right now. Like scary windy. The sound of the wind battering against my work would honestly make you think the roof is about to be torn off. Plus the power keeps cutting out. If we didnt have an emergency generator we'd be sitting in the dark right now.

Anyone else getting severe weather?

Lay off the beans?

Serious answer: It's been pretty windy here in Wales since about 1am, been absolutely chucking it down as well, on the drive home I nearly died about 5 times!

Our kerbside recycling bins got left out last night. Looked out this morning, one was completely gone, no idea at all where it ended up and the lid has gone off the other one. The street is a bit of a tip at the minute with bottles, cardboard and tins scattered everywhere. Lifted 2 empty bins that were blowing into cars, just need a couple of lids for them.

TLDR; Very Windy. :p

Yep, since around 11pm last night. Spent 3 hours in the morning clearing out the carport, left a few 'to be put away' things at the open end, now they are scattered all over and around the bikes... Yes nature, you trolled me :(

Barely got any sleep because of it as well!!!

Nature: Work tomorrow England? Need sleep? No problem...

All our recycling bins were out last night too. Every single one of them in our street was knocked over this morning, random empty bottles and paper flying everywhere, bins in the middle of the road, branches torn off trees.

And our lights at work keep popping on and off every 5 minutes. I just wish the phones would get knocked out too so I could kick back and not do any work.

Bloody fence getting wrecked again - only just patched it up from the last time and it's getting torn to bits again. Howling wind.

Home insurance won't cover the damage so looks like thousands of pounds to repair/replace it all - NOT HAPPY!

Just checked Wunderground for Edinburgh.

Wind
36 km/h from NE
Wind Gust
74 km/h

...Which is significantly faster than during the storm a few weeks back which had rolling coverage of not a lot happening.

ARGH! Thanks for reminding me, our neighbours side fence (you know, the side they own) ALWAYS blows down, we have propped it up in a effort to show that we simply won't pay for it (they kick a ball against it and have broken slats that I have fixed more times than I can count). I didn't check this morning or couldn't see due to it being dark before I left for work :(

This is going to be totally torn down... Oh well, they are garden proud, they won't want to see my garden everyday so sooner or later the cheap ****ers will have to shell out.

Our wheellie been decided to make it's own way to the landfill this morning :)

Wind is smashing against this city building.. I'm sure the windows are bowing in wards.

Up in Fife atm and there's no way i'm driving to work in how strong the wind is out there. Some of the gusts are literally shaking my whole house.

Got drenched cycling to work this morning. Was even wearing waterproofs! can still hear the rain slamming against the window now.
