Take this for example.

From the advert:

Leather upholstery - Doesn't say full or half leather
Navigation system - is this the new or older iDrive?
Air conditioning - I presume this is Full Climate?
Cruise control -
Telephone - Telephone?!?

and the rest includes ....
Alloy wheels, Front electric windows, Remote central locking, Electric door mirrors, Heated door mirrors, Electrically adjustable passenger seat, Electrically adjustable drivers seat, Heated seats, Reverse parking aid. Insurance Group:18, Alpine white with full black Dakota leather with heated seats, 19" Star spoke alloy wheels, Satellite Navigation, Bluetooth Phone prep, Connected Drive, Voice control system.

I remember starting a thread on these are the conclusion was that the 335 comes with some M bits as standard anyway so the need to get M isn't as necessary, am I correct?

I remember Fox bought a 335i less than a year ago for £20k and that was considered good value and I know he won't be fooled when it comes to buying cars but looking at this one....what am I missing? Where is the BUT part in the equation?

It is a petrol.
It has Nav
It has leather
It has the "right" gear box
It is under 60k miles so qualify for the all important BMW warranty

Really, what am I missing or have these really plummeted in price that much?

Nobody wants these, they've crashed like hell.

Pretty sure that is CIC idrive.

It will be full climate control aswell.

To me it isn't the fact you have the warranty, it's the effort of it going wrong, booking at a dealer weeks in advance, getting the courtesy, messing around with phone calls etc etc etc.

If I wanted an E90 I would just get the N52 all day long.

Can I just say something:
LOL at the poor photos! And the photo of the RAC approved dealer.
The heavy tints and the wheels also remind me of one type of...uhm....minority that favours cars such as that. And as such I always find their cars longer on gumtree and almost less favourable to second hand private buyers.

Yes it is.

No it's not. No 2007 cars had CIC - it will have the old version of iDrive. Only cars built after September 2008 had CIC iDrive and given BMW had a tonne of unregistered stock kicking around there are very very few 58 plate cars with CIC, you need an 09 plate to be in with the best chance and a 59 plate to guarantee it.

If I wanted an E90 I would just get the N52 all day long.

Whereas I wouldn't touch an N52, sure it's more reliable but it's only in the old cars so that means the horrificly bland nasty stylnig of the pre LCI E90 unless you get one of the very few early E92's with an N52. It's also about as economical as a 335i despite not offering the performance, and they are all fitted with the old iDrive.

This particular car is cheap because it's an SE. The SE comes with M Sport suspension, Sport seats as standard but people still prefer the M Sport and therefore the values of the SE tend to reflect that. If you are happy with the fact it's an SE and you buy that BMW warranty immediatly then it's far from a bad buy.

Many 57 plate cars are also in the £460 tax bracket - 57 plate was the crossover to Efficient Dynamics.

I got my damn near immaculate 335i SE with a thoroughly decent options list for a snippet over £14k for a Dec 06 car, FBMWSH, 32k miles, iDrive etc etc

The pre 57 ones suffer from the £445 tax bracket, and this massively puts a lot of people off. Also, the fact it's an SE also puts some people off, as mentioned by Fox.

It's all stock.

Yes fox is right, it is CCC. I think the CCC is perfectly acceptable if you've never used the CIC.

The tints are NOT standard fit.

I'm sure the rears are standard...?

I can't see any front tints..

The rear picture shows the front to be a different shadeish to the rear/

I am not concerned at all over the M as it sounds like it has all the best bits from the M (suspension & Sport seats) but without the added price tag. So that's all good to me.

As for the tax bracket, That's like £200 difference over the course of the year or something? That's fine. I pay £190 tax for my Yaris !

Will certainly look again at this when my 1 year NCB comes which is only 2 months away!

Yes they have plummeted in price and an SE under £14k isn't surprising at all.

I bought my 07 plate M Sport for a tad over £13k two months ago.

Guy in work is going to look at a 335d for 14k this weekend. I thought that was far too cheap! As the list price was £41k apparently with all the extras that it has.

Sounds like I dumped mine at just the right time :D

You always comment on these does not feel like a £20k car (when compare to your 5 series which I can understand), but would you say these are £13k cars?
