Pinch of salt must be taken considering their sponsor, and the bad reputation they have with many enthusiast forums...

Yeah I thought so too.

Given that they have said V-Power is no different to Optimax, it seems like a deliberate stab at them.

Most mappers I've spoke to, or read their comments on forums have stated that V-Power is a marked improvement over what Optimax was, and that Tesco is on par with V-Power, and doesn't go off as quickly.

But isn't V-Power a "proper" extra-refined fuel and Tesco 99 just bolstered with ethanol?

EDIT: It appears that Tesco 99 contains 5% Ethanol and 3% Methanol but V-Power doesn't contain either.

I'd say V-Power would have 5% in due to the Government's initiative Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation (RTFO).
