i'd recommend staying at the flying pig downtown if you haven't worked out accommodation yet; awesome place, decent price and has a bar etc

Main thing I can think to do is behave, and be not like the usual Brit rabble in Amsterdam. Know your limits, be a gent, enjoy the sights and smells, and don't rub anyone up the wrong way (well, unless there's a red light on).

I'm sure you and your mates will be upstanding ambassadors, but I've been there 3 times now and each time I've been embarrassed to call myself an Englishman due to the behaviour of others.

Train. There's a train station next to the airport. It might be part of the same building.

Regardless of whether something is legal in another country or not the request is simply that there aren't posts about drugs and to not make it family unfriendly. This thread has been put back after a request but if people can't abide by the request then unfortunately it will need to be deleted again.
