Nobody about the storm of yesterday in UK?

Yeah it took me 90 mins to get to work as opposed to the normal 30 mins due to the Forth Road Bridge being closed.

It was pretty windy and there was a fair bit of sleet and rain but then that's pretty normal for the weather here in Scotland :p

wasnt out in it however it did wake me up, had to close the window as it was so loud.
went straight back to sleep after that though.

I had some damage to my lower back roof which meant an ingress of water into the rear lobby. Just had it fixed today. Grrrrrr - at least I didn't have it painted yet (all fresh plaster).

Pretty much the same lol. I had blinds shut / curtains drawn but I saw how bad it looked outside and was glad I didnt have anywhere to go! :p

I didn't even notice wind or rain as was sleeping / playing wow, only later on when I went out did I see felled trees, fences, road signs and traffic lights.

For the second time in a week wind has caused us to lose power for a day, thing is the forecast DID NOT warn us of the severity of the winds till they were actually on us, this event caused much more damage than the much trumpeted bawbag, forecasters got it massively wrong, they had us all hunkered down when we pretty much didn't need to be and then when we NEED accurate information they fail, rubbish tbh, twice I have had to sort out my place and my 80 yr old mums with back up lighting and heating, power co rubbish too! Helpline no real help etc

Edinburgh is mostly back to normal, really. It's wet, windy and rubbish, and half the bins are on their sides. Just walked across the meadows though, that wasn't much fun.

Haha that first video is so british. *omg bin flying down the street, catastrophe!!! end of the world etc etc*

Yeah, calm down love, it's a bit of wind.

My next door neighbour has one of those giant trampolines in his front garden. During the night it blew right over my garden and into the neighbour on the other side. Seems to have missed my car on the way luckily. Its bin day today as well, so most of the bins put out last night are all over the place.
