Is this a "Golden" 3930k chip?

I'm on 4.5ghz @ 1.4v bios, 1.35 according to CPU-Z
72-75C on silver arrow (pull pull as it's the only way it will fit to not obscure a PCIe slot)
92gflops in linx

I'm pretty happy with that as the UD3 gets nothing but slated as an OC board on other forums

I've heard of a couple of people hitting 5ghz with the rampage on custom water and 1.42+ volts but you also start having to use bclk adjustments to get much over 4.8ghz

OK dropped to 1.31 V in the BIOS which is giving 1.29 on desktop... Trying @ 4.6

Big drop on temps.. Max im seeing is 59 degrees now...

10 mins or so on Prime95 is not enough. I'd do 20 runs in Intel Burn Test, maximum memory as a bare minimum if want to ensure stability for 24/7 under normal usage conditions (more if you're doing intensive/important stuff on your computer).

Just rerun with 12 threads and it needed me to bump to 1.32 in the bios for 1.3 on the desktop.... CPUID..

Ill check for a later version of IBT...

Just managed to read the image but it looks like you are already using the latest IBT.
But you MUST have win 7 SP1 to enable AVX, which is how it manages double the Flops

:D

Any links? I have the rampage and custom liquid :D

Done that , seems stable, think im gonna stick at 4.6.. Dont want to burn it out...

May have a 5ghz push for laughs when they can be replaced more cheaply!

Don't worry. You've got a 3 year warranty and this,

These are just guidelines we recommend you follow, if you want to push more voltage through your CPU's then just be aware they could die on you. Your warranty is un-affected and we will honor any CPU's that die, we just won't ask questions as to how you killed them.

@ reygjabla

That's fine unless you do something which causes obvious physical damage as OcUK won't be able to return the processor to Intel.
