Crysis 2 and Call of Duty most pirated PC games of 2011

nobodys mentioned how many downloads never get played. nearly everyone has a long list of steam games not played, but paid for. be even worse for a serial pirater :D

crysis 2 also had that leaked beta version remmber

some games arent that interesting to look at, but fun to play, and some the others are the other way round.

Its wrong to steal software, that's not an opinion.

It's exactly an opinion! Nevermind that it's copyright infringement and not stealing..

Ohhhh look, it's THIS argument again... :p

Several games both Steam and "otherwise" I have downloaded remain unplayed either at all or past the menu screen / first 5 minutes.

Posts links all you want won't change the fact it isn't stealing.

I make no excuses if I ever pirate a game anyway. I do it because I don't want to pay for it, either because I don't know if I'll like it, if I'll get round to playing it or just to confirm my decision not to buy it. If I really enjoy it then most of the time I'll then buy it but not always. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games for example I bought 3 games 7 times, Call of Duty games? Nah, never even installed WaW.

To be fair i torrented mass effect 1 because i wasnt sure if it was the type of game i would get on with, after about an hour or 2 of playing the game i went and bought both 1 and 2. And the main point is i would not of bought either if i did not torrent the game first.

I pirated Mass Effect 1, played it for 5 minutes and not again, then bought it in a Steam sale and then bought ME2 on the 360 even though I didn't own one at the time, doh! :D

stop being pedantic you know what i'm referring to, your not paying for something when you should, that's wrong and there's no two ways about it.

They were separate points, whether it's wrong is the opinion part, unless you're saying that anything you think is wrong is a fact.

I would guess a lot of those Crysis downloads were the early beta release that went online. That seemed very popular at the time and I would assume many who downloaded it also payed for the full game. Saying that, most probably didn't.

As for Call of duty, they should stop making games for kids with no money who rip the games and instead design and market something original that people might pay for. Maybe invest some of the seemingly endless advertisement budget into game design.

DRM protection should be usefull here, serious sam 3 has an invicible red scorpion that kicks ass, quite funny actually :) Most games should have it, something that really takes the wee wee like a grenade launching cloud or something unbearably annoying

What about people who bought the games, played and finished (single player and perhaps some multi) and then sold it off for the same amount purchased? What are they called? :D

Moneywise they are in the same boat as pirates.

Anyway is it a suprise that it's those two at the top? It's just the popular ones.
