Right, so I see this card for under 70 quid, and can get some cashback as well...

Anyone got experience with these cards? I have noticed that the 'normal' 6770's are clocked at 850MHz... so is this probably cheap for a reason? Though in the description it says 'overclocking capability 10~30% up' (love marketing spiel)

My CPU will probably even choke this, but will hopefully be ok until I upgrade CPU/Mobo/Ram etc in the future!

:)

I'd find out why it's so underclocked before I considered purchasing it as yes, 850mhz is the factory speed (same as 5770 which I have)

Only reviews (google search of product name + review) I've seen were by 2 users who were not impressed.(Both commented that the cards would not overclock enough (if at all) to turn such into a good investment.)

i was thinking about buying this card for my daughter - she plays Batman Arkham City and Assassins Creed Brotherhood (currently on my PC as she only has a 7900GS:-)) - would this card cut it on a 20" screen with 4Gig RAm and a Q6600?

Judging from the above, a 'normal' 6770 VTX brand can be had for £71.94 or so, and worth the extra 2 quid :D

May wait a little to see if prices drop any more!

1600 x 900 I think. What's your thoughts? Was it Arkham City or Arkham Asylum that you played?

Many thanks

arkham asylum on 5770,i was at 1024x768 but it should handle that res,it played all the top games at the res i had,bf2 mw2 aint tried newer games as i have 5870 now but 5770 was pretty good card,

I know someone who uses a 6770 for BF3 at 1920x1080, so you should be fine for the above games :)

but reaper runs his with an i7 steven, the q6600 ain't that high and mighty anymore.

i run bf3 nicely on medium/high settings with my athlon x4 640 @ 3.4ghz which is on par with the q6600 with my 5770 and get around 70fps, and with everything on high, i get around 45-50fps average but thats on a 1440*900 monitor. for 1920*1080, slash off a few fps and your done but you should be ok

Might not be that high and mighty, but it still runs BF3. Just ask Paul :). Also, was just saying, as it runs BF3 (although might be combined with an I7), It wont have any issues running the games that the OP is wanting his daughter to play (if you actually read, he didnt mention BF3; it was just an example).
