If you read this then thank you for taking your time :)

basically i have a business idea i think will do extremely well. its not just one of those it will do well things, ive genuinly done tons of research, i have contracts with a similar kind of industry already, its a huge industry and i thinki could hit a niche that could turn into a huge convenience and bring in tons of revenue.

The idea is 100% website based, itl have a forum too. i have £500 im willing to drive into website development. other than that i dont want to spend anymore of my hard earned savings. i just want to know other than business link, is there any one who will fund this and what are the terms. i genuinly genuinly think thiswill go very far.

im willing to give more info, but im trying not to give out the idea

thanks guys

Sorry but if you think it's going to go far but are not prepared to use your cash.... why should anyone else?

If it's such a good idea use your money.

ive said im willing to shell £500 on website development ^ im just not prepared to use more until i see a solid website design comeinto practice and go live

If you're not prepared, why should anyone else be?

That's going to be question one from any investor, and the fact you have said this suggests to me you're not actually confident in your business idea at all and that you do not really think it 'will do extremely well'.

Speak to your bank.

If you can put a proposal together they can give you a business loan, so you don't need to touch your savings.

no its the fact im actually quite poor. if i had the confidence to be broke for awhile id put all my my worth into it. the idea is definitely worth itbut no ones going to slam ALL of their money into it.

i dont understand why many people assume my idea isnt worth it just because i wont put all money into it. i have a life ive got to sustainandbills and living with £500 im basically putting a thirdof my worth into this idea

It's a fair assumption to make (and isn't really an assumption, it's a fair question which would be asked by any potential investor).

to be fair. upon doing more research, £500 should cover website development. its the on gong investment for hosting that could be a problem

I would put ALL of my money in to an idea I believed in. And I would borrow on credit cards or by whatever means. I am an online entrepreneur and started my business when I had £30k of personal debt.

Whilst it makes sense to minimise risk you have to take some. £500 is nothing and will roughly pay for a few days web development.

If the idea is exceptional there is a chance of getting an investor on board but you will need to give away a massive chunk of equity. You won't get a loan and there aren't really any significant grants available to my knowledge.

Nobody is asking you to put all your money into it but £500 is trivial in the context of business startup and nobody is going to give you money to start a business you are only confident enough to invest 500 quid in.

ok so im willing totake this idea onmyself, and pay for web development with my own money, id be willing to invest £1700 long term on it. but with doing it myself im left in the dark on areas of things like; shopping carts, databases, security, actually getting the site online, its just all new to me, i wasnt mainly looking for someone to invest im looking for a professional who can guide me into the right direction getting it up and running live.

What's your business, if you don't mind me asking?

Even £1700 is peanuts for web developement, I am no expert or anything at all come to that matter but I did spend over £4000.00 on a website for my business.

welli understand you, id obviously most likely invest more once it takes off, as its all COMPLETELY web based, it would only ever need a huge lump of cash to get it all completely live and running. id need hosting cost every month but thats nothing to me if itsreally successful it will pay for itself. would £1700 get me a very good design maybe ? and some functions like purchasing functions, security, databases etc or will that come with even more money ? most of the audio willbe hosted on soundcloud sobandwidth wouldnt be an issue the only bandwidth would be page hits and downloads of small 1kb files. imainly want a main landing home page with hubs to different areas all integrated. the main browse module of the things im selling. a demo section, a section promoting some of my other products already in circulation and well known. and a section for a forum pretty much in the format of overclockers but obviously music orientated, thinking tomyself now, im probably going to haveto shell out about 6000

I fear you may have to put these plans on hold for the foreseeable future. It would probably be worth your while in the mean time doing some sort of course on business e.g. how to produce a business plan, balance sheets, P&L, cashflow etc, while you work and save up more money that you can later invest in your idea.

Currently working on something myself. Getting funding will not be easy.... UNLESS you have a super dooper great idea!

500 quid for web site development? Well that just shows the depth of your research right there, especially for a web based business.
