Is Corsair CX500 Watts PSU enough?

Hi all,

Just a quick question. Would this PSU be enough for an i7 860 and a hd 4890 1gb? The rest of the spec is just standard, 1hdd 4th ram etc.

I know it is close, but would it be suffice for now (1 year ish?)

What socket? It should be fine regardless but the 1366 sockets use more power than 1155 does. For an extra £15 though you could get something like THIS.

It's LGA1156 socket I believe.

I have already got the cx500 though.

have u baught it yet or is this the psu u have a the moment?

it is fine for what u have. a few ppl have used this calculator but not sure how accuarate it is.
it reckons u need about 336w minimum.

34A @ 12V, 2 x 6+2 PCIE connectors. Looks ok, but it will hit hard. I would tab 330-360W power consumption.
