Hi all,

Recently bought this:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-092-OE

Everytime I boot up, goes in a continuous loop and I can't even get to BIOS stage, OS or anything.

Red light on the board below PCI slots, orange when I turn on.

Turns on for literally 5 seconds and back off then loops itself on again.
All connections checked.
Any ideas?

I had everything connected HDD etc, but it did it so I went through process of elimination with each component until I was down to the PSU and board where it still happens.

On the connection front is the 8 pin for CPU power connected including the 24 pin ATX connector.

Also you might need to do a CMOS reset, this will put everything back to stock but there should be a saved profile in the BIOS which you can reload.

What GPU are you using?

If the PCI light is glowing orange that should mean there is the problem. Either the GPU is faulty or it's a bad overclock from OcUK WHICH I VERY MUCH HIGHLY DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!

Tried multiple times then it seems the CMOS reset itself to defaults for me since I couldn't enter the BIOS.

Since installing W7 and essentials I needed, I decided to try load the profile and see how it goes and it's been working fine since. Maybe a random moment?

May of been a radon moment, in the past my overclock has failed, redone the overclock and all is well.

Hopefully you will be ok :)

WHAT MAKES YOU SO SURE??????????????

Even the mighty ovverclockers must be fallible occasionally

dodgy PSU? I get this randomness myself, I put it down to bad PSU.. but I also only had 4 out of the 8 CPU power connector things connected :D

My board does the same (if the overclock fails several times, it will load defaults).

Might be worth giving the Overclock a quick stress using IBT (Intel Burn Test). See if that goes ok at maximum stress.
