As you all know its been quite windy the past few days. Well this happened outside my flat today:

My Car (Clio 182) is in the foreground. A lucky escape is an under statement!

At least there is a god though - it took out the Prius :p

I'd be so angry and gutted at Allah if he ever flattened my car. My worst fear is getting my car damaged. I once had a dream it got damaged and when I woke up I rushed to the window to check it was ok .=/

With the weather the last few weeks I've been making sure every parking space is out of obvious falling branch vicinity. Once came back to find a snapped large tree branch hanging off to within a foot of the back of my car. Was most relieved when I got close enough to see it hadn't hit.

really life it too short to worry about things like this

Quick question , how would one claim from the insurance company ? Isnt this an 'act of god' and acts of god arent usually covered in insurances ? Next step is to sue the church :D

How much damage was caused ?

Doesn't look like much damage from the photos

The Prius is a write off. It had a smashed windscreen and driver side windows along with massive damage to the roof. I think some of the tyres burst too.

I havent heard about the van. The owner of the van said it'd be a write off at the time, but I don't know what he based that on. I guess there must be some damage to the roof and drivers side.

Not sure whether issurers would cover it tbh. Mt first thought was they'd have to claim through the council.

Speaking of which, my car was covered in lots of small twigs/branches and now has a slow puncture on the front passenger side (possibly caused from the fire brigade moving my car?). I'm guessing I should be able to claim for this and get any small scratches polished out?

Im sure we will start hearing people say we need to cut all trees down just in case they fall down!
