Hopefully will be building my i7 2600k rig this weekend if all the bits arrive, anyway I’ll be using an Gelid Tranquillo cooler\heatsink, what would you guys recommend, use the paste that came with the cooler or Arctic Silver 5 which I’ve got from a previous build? Thanks

If your Gelid paste is anything like the stuff that came with my A50, then I'd go with the Arctic Silver 5 all day long.

Can't imagine that you'd see too much difference - I used the bundled gelid paste temporarily while building my machine and there was only a few C diff between it and the IC Diamond (though to be fair it wasn't a particularly scientific test)

neither,i would use tuniq tx 3 or mx2,better than both of those pastes,as5 is old now

Surely if Arctic Silver 5 was that old hat we would be able to buy it out of the pound shops by now :p:D
By looking at some reviews since making this post it looks like there isn’t much difference between most of the top compounds on the market “ 1 or 2 degrees” . Anyway thanks guys for your input.
