Skyrim: I keep gettin pwned by dragons - how do you guys kill them :(

lol all i ever do is simple bind favs to buttons 123 eg and just have health reg then swop back hack slash rinse repeat .

did main quest like this first time and was only lvl 14 when finished it and none of weapons or stuff were even high .

I just stab stab stab then use a health potion and stab some more. Found the dragon fights pretty boring to be honest.

Only died a few times from dragons. Once where it ate me!

I just hide behind obstacles and dual cast destruction spells. I've got the perk where dual casting often stuns an opponent, so when it hovers before attacking, a dual cast will stun it and it will fly off again. And repeat.

I'm level 41 Battlemage, so I just stand there with my Spellbreaker shield firing fireballs every so often, then hitting it with my sword when it lands.

Same, level 37 though. I usually find a couple of fireballs does the trick along with some fast healing inbetween. ;)

Always use that shout that brings the dragon to the ground, can't remember what its called but it makes it so much easier.

Hope this helps. :D

distract him with shadowmere the invincible dragon fighting horse.

I actuaLLY hid behind a pillar and just dinked him with arrows for one dragon used the pillar to survive fire breath lol

Whaaaaa? It is inface very few amount of enemies that don't, most do! Take Trolls, you roast them with some sort of fire damage and you are laughing, that is their weak spot. Mages, melee attack is their weak spot and lightning damage drains their mana, bears are slow so ranged combat, skeletons also slow, dougars (what ever they are called) are weak to fire. The list goes on.

Bears are slow? What bears are these? The ones I fight move like greased lightning, just like Wolves and Sabre Cats.

I also wouldn't say melee is a mages weak spot. Low health is a mages weak spot, not melee. If anything, bows are a mages weak spot because you can stay at a distance making dodging projectiles easier, unless you can close in very fast and knock them down or stagger them to prevent spellcasting.

Gotta love it when mages cast ward at my thief.... then get an arrow in the knee.

Wait, face. I meant face... yes, thats right. ;)

Ok ok, haha, you know what I mean, and come to think about it, yea bears can move like **** of a shovel. Last night I was legging it from a sabre cat, turned around and the sod was right behind me, in panic I hit a button and managed to unwield and punch the sabre cat in the eye, I decided to keep doing this as I was still in panic. Needless to say I died.

But you get my point right? As in if you think about how to approach fights and what you need and what works and what doesnt then it makes it a lot easier than just relying on simple bashing away.

I hate mages at the moment, my new char is about as resiliant to magicka as a plastic bag resisting a gust of wind :(

I just reduced the difficulty, I'm probably not very good at this game but I found the only difference at higher difficulty is that you had to chug way more health/stamina pots to kill something.

i play 2H nord on Expert and im level 49. the dragons that i encounter nowadays (legendary dragon) are pretty nasty and one fire breath is enough to kill me. I find that i sometimes have to drop the difficulty down to Adept, especially if on my own.

So enjoy the happy times of lvl 10 - 45 (dread to think what its like on Master)

I killed mine at level 9 with steel armor and pretty much loot from the dead bandits etc. Nothing at all remarkable. I had i think an orcish sword with 15 damage and a steel shield. I like to wield shield and sword so i have no points in any magic. The key to the dragon was bow when it was flying and then use the housecarl to draw its attention and then spam sword bashing and shout just before he is about to breath ice/fire on you. If done right you will get a few seconds to land hits without getting hit by the breath.

Pack up on health potions or just use restoration when it takes off. Rinse and repeat.

Tell you what was hard that krosis boss.
