Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Starting off infantry weapons are fine, although I can see why some don't like the iron sights you have to go through to get a scope\red dot\halo. Also if I'm playing on a server with lots of high ranks and the next map is grand bazaar, I'll normally leave after a couple of mins. It just gets full of USAS and frag ammo, which is no fun if you don't have one :D

I haven't bothered playing jets, but it does seem that is where the main issues lie when starting off? It does sound unbalanced anyway.
 
Sooooo after loving BF2 I finally picked up this game today all installed ok and patched etc. Except it won't work (waaaaaaaaa) I can join a multiplayer game for about 3 seconds and then a get an orange triangle in the upper right hand of my screen and I can't move or do anything, I also don't seem to have any ping when I push the tab key as well :(

Any ideas?!

uPnP settings on router? people were reporting PunkBuster issues last night as well.
 
quick question, whenever i pick assault and i go to sort my loadout etc, im always a black guy, why am i always a black guy?, can you change it so im a white guy or am i stuck with it?
 
Not sure why but I'm now getting driver recovery based crashes when playing this. Nothing has changed on my system at all apart from installing dead island which installed some direct x stuff (supposedly) and since then BF3 crashes complaining about Directx and nvidia says its recovered the drivers.

Any ideas? Downloading some different drivers at the moment to see if they make a difference.

To note, got myself a corsair K90 mechanical keyboard and its superb in this game :D Such smooth transitions between going prone to running and micro adjustments (strafing whilst sniping) are all far easier to do than the dell cheapo thing I upgraded from :D

I disabled upnp on my router, else I would disconnect after a few mins once in game. Not had any problems since.
 
Anyone else getting random issues today? Apart from a lot of rubber banding I went to vault over an obstacle on a road on Bazaar, got half waythrough the animation and then somehow warped across to the other side of the road, into a wall and comitted suidice in the process.
 
Possibly the worst examples of blatant cheating/hacking ive seen to date.

Instant death upon spawning, kharg island. Spawned at us deployment twice, dead straight away, same when spawning in a chopper. Server below.
