dodgy neighbours preparing for crime..

Why are you creating these completely irrelevant fantasy situations?

Well, hypothetical situations are how you explore moral connundrums. This is hardly an unlikely scenario though is it, that a family member is found out committing a crime.

A lot of the responses are absolute, a crime has been committed it must be reported.

But if people wouldn't immediately shop a family member, or best friend, then that is an ambiguity in the initial assertion, due to the relationship with that person.

So, then it just depends on where you personally draw the line. A family member, a best friend, a good neighbour you have known for years....where is your line?

So, depending on my relationship with the said person, I don't think I would immediately shop them, but talk to them first and warn them that the behaviour was unacceptable and they will end up getting caught anyway. Then try to help them change their ways before things get worse.

If I knew they were a scrote anyway, then I would shop them.

well i think if it was anyone else i would, but i know they are broke and being hounded by debt collectors, just had a new born and also taken in a 15 lad who's mum did not want anymore :(

so im gonna let it slide, DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT, but each to their own.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

Excellent comeback.

What they are doing is totally wrong. It is irrelevant if he has children as he will only have negative effects on them. If you don't report it then the guy will keep on doing the crime and eventually he will be caught and possibly punished for a bigger crime. Do the right and report him if you feel any sympathy.

LOL @ half the posts in here, None of you actualy saw the guy do "a crime" and yet he's already hung drawn and chopped into little bits by you people

OP seen him do what he says in orignal post but it proves nothing from what I read.

Not long ago I went out and put new plates over the top of my daughters car took some pictures then the next day took them off, it was freezing outside and i had a big coat hat and gloves on.

I'm glad none of my neibours decided to stick thier noses in and call the police on me for robbing petrol ? falsly putting plates on my car ? being a fraudster ? pulling a speeding ticket scam ? killing everyones cat on my estate etc etc

Overclockers GD the place where reality gets it's ass kicked by fantasy..

Didn't the OP observe the geezer attaching false number plates to his car? Now correct if I'm wrong, but isn't that a crime in itself?

stick on different number plates over the top of his current ones

Different plates on TOP of the existing ones.

Yeah, nothing sinister about that at all.

Why would you need to put "new" plates over the top of a car's current plates?. I'm curious.

Quick you best report me It looks like a committed a crime :)

And think your missing the point of my post, the majority seem to think he robbed petrol, EVEN though no one actually saw the guy do it :)

Putting false plates on a crime ? ye sure it is, but no one knows they were false for certain. And as has been mentioned "putting them over the top" not sure if that is a crime.

My whole point is no one knows what he's actually done but it's too late he's already, convicted locked up and executed by a majority GD jury :)
