*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

This might be a silly question but can you give health packs to your companion? I can't seem to find an answer in the in-game help and you don't seem to be able to search the official forums.

Hi there guys, relatively new to this MMO business but ive got to say im loving this atm. Currently rolling a lvl 15 Sith Jug on FrostClaw and just starting balmorra after getting my ship. I have the intention of hopefully joining the OCUK guild but thought itd be best to introduce myself here first rather than registering on the other forum so hi! ;) any tips or advice you guys can give me, for example im noticing an extreme lack of force powers but just assume i need to level up more before i get choke etc?

So far been soloing throughout but think its about time I got involved in the social aspect.

You really should join us :)

The Sith Jugg (my main) really comes into its own later on - the best powers start around level 30.

Bottom left hand corner - "summon companion" button. It's fairly small but if you hover over it, you'll see it.

I am now waiting for the game to download.

For the first time in my MMORPG career I have made a conscientious decision to roll a toon without readin extensive guides or min/maxing. I want to enjoy this game my way like i used to in SWG and EvE rather than going cookie cutter and hardcoring like I did in DAoC/WoW/Rift

I am going to go imperial and make a BH and then make a rebel alt smuggler. These being my favourite character types and what I always played in SWG in the earl days pre CU.

Is there an OCUK guild and what server are you all on ?

... Don't you just love it when you're browsing the Galactic Market Network on say, page 19 and thinking "Yeaaah, a stack of 84 works out at 43 credits a pop whereas a stack of 67 works out at.." BAM! A crew mission comes back and closes your poxy Galactic Market Network and you have to start all over again! Forgot how many times this has actually happened now

I have room for two windows on my game screen.

If a crew comes back then what happens is the leftside one gets closed as the mission bumps the windows along to the left.

So the solution is to only have the market open and leave the righthand side open for crew missions.

Question time again :)
Somebody sent me a whisper, so we had a bit of a chat....me simply hitting "r" and then sending him a reply.

Later on I just wanted to talk in the general chat window, so I hit "return" and it immediately started as if I was sending a whisper to that same person.

No matter what I did I just could not start chatting in the general chat window again.
What was I doing wrong?
I assumed hitting "return" would let me start generally chatting, it wouldn't put in To:(person x) and not allow me to delete that.

They should really have a system where instead of closing windows, they're just minimised, and you can restore them again.

Forward slash 1, hit enter. :)

right I've made the decision to get into this game, I was going to stick with WoW untill guild wars 2, but i've had enough of it to be honest. This is mainly because it is now too easy and the player base seems to have got very immature of late. (Aerie peak ftl).

How would you guys rate the player base of TOR and the difficulty?
