MKV;s not working 6950

Any help?

I use DIVX got all codecs, drivers updated for card etc. And they still wont play. I get a green screen and DIVX has to close down after a while of the file not working.

Not sure if this is in the correct section please move if not.

Try Kazaa Codec pack and VLC player and report back!

You need to use something like the CCCP for the necessary codecs to play MKV's.

Install 32 bit Media Player Classic Home Cinema: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/download-media-player-classic-hc.html

Install LAV filter codecs: http://code.google.com/p/lavfilters/

It's what I use to play 1080p MKVs and runs perfectly on both my laptop and desktop.

Thank you mate i used to use VLC all the time in days gone by but with my new build it was something i forgot to get and the codecs from K lite too!

Shark007 32-bit codecs followed by the 64-bit pack > K-lite and **** like that.

dont use divx player its cack. VLC is better as you have already found.

Glad it is working mate. I have always used Kazaa and never looked back. VLC is a must!
