Hi guys, i've been trying my luck for a week or so picking gtx 580s, Constantly looking on a well known auction site for a bargain..

Cheapest i've seen is £260, which I think is pretty decent, was a Zotac. What's the cheapest you have seen a second hand 580 sell for?

This will then be my limit. :p I only like to pay what they have gone for! Can't access the MM yet..
 
I piad 290 delivered for mine back in september last year which i though was a bloody bargain! Also picked up a 6990 for 325 notes a couple of days ago so just deciding which to keep

That's a steal, constantly watch gpus i'm obsessed to see the prices. :p

Especially one day ones which end at like 1 in the afternoon, bargain to be had! Haven't seen a 6990 be that low, also looked into them but I think I prefer a single GPU.
 
Nope, its spot on, even still has the warranty sticker over the bios switch :)

When i saw it for sale i wasnt looking to buy a new card, but i couldnt refuse it at that price lol

From what I read AMD will have a hard time declining RMAs due to the switch being thrown.

Kinda like when Apple said they weren't going to warranty jailbroken I devices but ended up being forced to.

If the Zotac is from a user that calls himself 'jacobs_m11' then avoid him as he's not who he says he is and is under investigation from the sites fraud team.
Here's what he wrote in a message that he sent me on the site:-

"if you wanted it posting today for monday then you would need to pay £50 deposit today via bank deposit and remaining monday once received and tested."

Luckily I did't fall for that but it made me wonder if anybody else did and this is one of a few reasons that I reported him. Maybe he has used the same username on other auction sites too.

Nah was a couple of months ago, but I did bid on that one and he messaged me saying I could have it for £190 buy it now via bank transfer, I could smell the fish from the price when I bidded £220 on the item in the first place. :p
 
theres a gainward good 580 on at 245 atm with 5 mins on autction left maybe it will go cheaper the the one you saw

Glad it worked out OK man. I usually don't believe in things that sound too cheap, so good on you :)
