Anyone else noticed an increased usage of stuff from there being used on here the past couple of months?

I agree with you completely. In fact, I just finished transcribing your manifesto of the subject on 100% Egyptian papyrus. I'm gonna call up an armored truck company soon and schedule a pick up of the said document. Hopefully no one will interfere with the transportation of such literary importance. I also arranged for the rental of a safety deposit bank in a Swiss Bank, along with one in the Cayman islands where a high resolution copy of your diatribe of the "scroll over reputation text" will be kept under the highest security. I can only hope that millenniums from now our descendants find it they will spread the word over how life in the 21st century was so different from theirs, where the rep-status bar claimed false accusations and mods didn't even do anything about it.

I hope that one day there will be a monument devoted to this tragedy, with all of the members' usernames engraved in a granite wall.

I'd wager "Misc" is probably some forum or sub-forum with users who like to refer to an unqualified "Misc" externally like some sort of old-boys network. Either that or some sort of elaborate ruse to make people think such an imaginary forum exists.
