Hello guys i recently got gifted Saints row the third on steam and i am looking for a cheap second hand copy of the DVD to install it from as i have horrendous internet and steam says it will take over 14hours to download 10GB. If anyone has used there code and installed, who feels they dont need the DVD anymore please can i buy it (cheap though) i have paypal. thanks.

Enable your trust and I'll throw my steam files on a disc or two for you.

Also before anyone gets on their high horse according to valve it is perfectly legal to share game files provided both parties own the game.

EDIT: Just having a quick round of BF3 will be back shortly :)

3 quid? Any other games you got a similer situation with

fyi If you have started dl for it already, copy new files to the games folder in steamapps, then in steam, rightckick properties, local files, verify game cache. :-)

Give me your steam account, and I'll be happy to download it, burn to DVD's and send it to you for the price of postage.

I've bought and sold a lot of things on this forum, as well as doing people favours, if there is an issue of trust.

Send me a message through trust if you are interested.

The current install is 8.83 GB.

Send us your address via a trust message and I will post the discs to you. Don't worry about the cost, got loads of DVD's around, will be glad to get rid of some :)

EDIT: what a legend mate. cheers.

Sure, it is Gimpymoo.

When you launch Steam, and it asks you to sign in, at the bottom is a "Retrieve lost account" button, click that.

Edit:

I see you accepted my friend request so you must be signed in :)

When steam starts up, and you have remember password on this computer checked, it bypasses the screen containing "retrieve lost account" so RedTop never sees it.

What you need to do RedTop, is go to the Steam Menu, click "Change User..."
This will pop up a dialog giving you the option to log out. Do that. Then the screen that next shows up will ask you for your username and password. On that, look for the "retrieve lost account" option hat Gimpymoo mentioned, and you'll be able to get a new password.

BUT before you do this, just to be on the safe side, disable steam guard.
Back to Steam menu, --> Settings
On the Account tab of the form that pops up, click "Manage Steam Guard Account Security" and click "Disable Steam Guard".

You can reenable it once you've got your new password setup. It isn't absolutely necessary to disable Steam Guard, but very occasionally there are problems with it, and it could make it hard to reset your account password if it doesn't let you login...

why has no one noticed the obvious:

14 hour download vs the postal system, soonest you would get the DVD would be tuesday anyway

Just start the download and do something else for the day?
