Hi all,

After barely 9 months my side fan has given up the ghost - this is quite an important one as it delivers fresh air to the PCI-E devices. Does anyone know of a decent replacement?

(the previous one used to resonate through the chassis sometimes, so if this could be avoided through good quality components, that would be good!)

Is this the original fan that has given up? If so the Megaflow would be better (quiet).

Heres some options: Bitfenix Spectre fan (200mm)
Coolermaster Megaflow (200mm)
Xigmatek 200x200x20 XLF series
NZXT FS 200mm

Hi mate coolermaster will replace it for free if you contact them.

I also think i have some spares if your interested

I usually bypass coolermaster support and e-mail a guy at the cooler master shop in the netherlans called ruud. He is a very nice guy ad usually deals with replacements 300x quicker than cooler master support could ever hope too.

No mate, usually he will just send one out on good faith but i still send a scan of my original receipt and usually link to a youtube vid of the broken part. Like i say i have 3 spares iirc in the garage in my box of pc bit so if you don't get any joy give me a shout or look at getting a megaflow fan as a replacement, basically a clear version of the side panel fan. Ruud will probably send you these anyway as black ones are short supply and usualy OEM with cases only.

I received a reply from a dude called Michiel from CM Netherlands, wanted Order Purchase Number and Serial Number, which I supplied. Will wait and see I guess!

I had a look for 200mm fans and they seem in very short supply at most e-tailers.

Yeah you should be good, he will ask you for a shipping address then usually send them out, just remember can take about 7days+ due to it coming from netherlands.

I got a confirmation email stating the same.

Thanks for the referral though, I was willing to buy a replacement unaware that they can send me one under warranty :)

yeah they are very good in the shop, i had to have a complete new top panel for my haf x, mine arrived in 5 days along with a box of other goodies as compensation as ruud called it. 3 megaflow red LED fans :)
