Washing Machine Not Draining Water. Not Sure Why.

Washed some clothes earlier and went to get them from the washing machine. They are completely soaked though and there is still a lot of water in the machine. I didn't mess with any settings or anything so I don't think it's that. Tried the drain setting but it doesn't seem to work.

Anyone have an idea how I could fix this issue at all?

Cheers. :)

Check the pump filter (cap on the bottom front) - mine was doing the same and was jammed with a hair clip :o

Be careful though, it'll be full of water and need opening partially and draining first.

It's either the pump filter (unscrew the cap at the front of the machine) is clogged, or the rear filter/sensor is faulty. The latter takes a service call as it's a non user replaceable part.

Same thing happened to ours last month.

Check filter and pump. You should be easily able to take the top/rear of the washer off and check the pipes coming from the filter and pump too.

Just be warned, it's not usually the most pleasant of things that block your washer up! I've seen the result of constant 30c washes using liquid detergent - the result was pretty sticky and smelly.
